INTERNATIONAL BOTY 2015 - SEMIFINAL #1 - U-TAIPEI (TAIWAN) VS THE FLOORRIORZ (JAPAN)
The Battle Of The Year has come a long way. Who would have thought that BOTY would go from starting out in 1990 in a local youth culture centre with 500 hard-core fans to an arena packed with more than 12.000 roaring spectators and Bboy crews from all over the world? We are glad to still grow and contribute to the culture. That’s why we are holding more than twenty worldwide qualifications each year.
BOTY 2015 was huge - and our aim is to keep it growing, evolving and pushing it to become the best Battle Of The Year we can possibly achieve, to once again prove that the event has earned its position as a pinnacle of the breaking and Bboying scene.
After more than 25 years we felt it’s time to change something and move on again. That’s why we are saying goodbye & thank you to Braunschweig. We can’t wait to meet all of you at new places in 2016!

flooriorz showed a deeper understanding of foundation and the dance. Taiwan did very well too, glad to see so much improvement in the last few years

Where are you from, kid? Go to bed early and watch more breaking battle series. It may help you know the hole world ,not only Floorriorz. Kappa~

its sad how Taiwanese bboys cant see beyond merely moves (mostly powermoves) and appreciate the more subtle elements of this dance, or dance itself. Taiwan brought extremely high level power to the stage, but what did they bring besides that? that is why japan won, and by miles. No hate intended, just want to educate.

I feel like over last couple of BOTY's i've watched Taiwan is that, it's so much power and routine. I think there's something missing. Flooriorz, you can tell their dancing and they enjoy it. Thats the essense that a lot of bboys around the world lack. But who knows, i may be wrong!

If all the moves and transitions are original, Taiwan could have won. But there were probably only 5 original moves and transitions from Taiwan combined in this battle. Taiwan has improved so much on their power and skill over the last few years. But unfortunately, their artistry is still very lacking. That was why Flooriorz took that easily.
