I also bought a fake one from Facebook Market, when I ready to change tip, I pulled the tip and the plastic break up into two parts. Then went to Apple store, the staff checked, said it's fake, and the serial number is used on many fake ones. The lesson is: Never buy airpods from Facebook, eBay etc. Only from big shops, Apple store or Amazon

You just got a cheap pair of fakes, because the fakes I buy and resell, no one can tell the difference, with zero complaints. I sell them as refurbished to cover any support issues. People are most surprised in seeing, and hearing that my "refurbished" pairs are no different from the originals. And Siri works too well on my fakes, to the point that some people need to turn it off, because of how sensitive it can get.

The lanyard holder is the biggest tell. on Original Airpods the holder is metal and on the fake its plastic..

For the real ones if you try to switch between the noise modes while they aren’t in your ears it won’t work

Apple needs to do something about this, its crazy how these fakes and be almost real, like having the popup when open the case, only apple should do that.

Apple can't stop China from making the fakes because Apple gave them all their plans to assemble the originals. And China does what it wants for the purpose of pissing america off, knowing noting can be done about it.

Actually if you look carefully at the manuals, on the fake ones they didn’t use round shape corner paper as on the real one! Btw I am up for the giveaway 🤪

I bought my from Facebook too, spent 190 everything seems legit on my AirPods Pro 2, it’s checks everything like original AirPods Pro 2 but I’m still worried I might have paid for something fake and I’m not 100 sure how to check if they’re Legit.

Shine a flashlight under the lid. If there’s nothing throughout the lid, it’s a fake. If there’s stuff throughout the lid, they’re real

@@YoungProdiigy-_ I bought some AirPod pro 1st gen last year from a reputable company and they ended up being fake. I found out bc I took them to the Apple Store to get fixed and they said they were fake after doing some testing. Unfortunately I paid retail too.

these were actually pretty low quality fakes, they might've cost $15 on DHGate. The biggest dead giveaway was the yellow ANC sticker. Good fakes don't have that, neither do they have all those mistakes with the box, the eartip pull tab, bad fonts and etc. Good quality fakes avoids all those mistakes and is so 1:1 that it's way harder to tell.

the model number that appeared on your cellphone is the same as the model number on the case of the airpods or only the serial number, can you look it up on your cellphone and airpods

i bought a fake ones without ANC (totally aware that they were fake) and the sound is pretty decent, i mean not at the level of the OGs but good quality audio

Lowkey, one thing I noticed that I think almost no one spotted, the Apple manuals all have rounded corners, the fake one has sharp 90 degree corners (wink-wink) - you're welcome :)

My friend just got a pair recently from FB Marketplace and there’s no ANC or Transparency and the speaker on the case sounds bad and won’t charge with an official USB C to Lighting cable

You got scammed with the cheapest clone version . We all know are not the Apple ones. Stop calling them fake lol The ones I bought are Taiwan , noise canceling works perfectly fine they even have warranty 😅 lol

I bought some ebay, i think are fake, there should be a toggle for adaptive Transpercy, theres not, also, on the ones i got, it wont stick to magsafe, and it wont locate case in find my, only airpods if they are connected. Also, the airpods start playing sound soon as i connect them, even though they are in the case…and it says coverage expired on applecare.

Yeah, it's pretty easy for them to do, they look identical, Apple needs to fix this And another suggestion is, if someone steals your AirPods, and tries to reset them to use on their phone, there should be a Two step verification on your phone, before being able to reset them

@@King-tf9kx for 20 dollars you get AirPods without active noise control and it feels cheap if you want good AirPods with active noise control and good sound you have to spend atleast 40 dollars but in my opinion it is 100% worth it if you look at the original price
