First of all congrats Will! Second, that exhaust is opening up you're not hearing things. It has a dual valve that opens past a certain rpm for airflow. Which is why you should keep the stock exhaust even if it's not the loudest. It's more complex than most motorcycles

Damn man thats dope im jealous i know everything about that bike and will own one someday, Congratulations my man thats Big time! just FYI I know the sound of the exhaust is quiet but remember that akrapovic has a dual chamber flow system that is specially engineered for peak performance for that intake, just keep that in mind when and if you start modding it. if you put a short exhaust on it the noise is too loud and unbearable. so if you tune it i would tune it with that same exhaust. maybe just remove the Cat, i know people that have had tuning issues with the RRR doing typical street mods, that bike is pretty much already built for peak performance once its unlocked and modifications really need to be thoroughly analysed by race professionals familiar with Honda Fireblades. God Speed Brother!

Love your excitement man. Can tell you love bikes and riding.. I felt just as excited you last week when I bought my first motorcycle.. it's not nearly as fast or crazy as this but it is brand new with 0 miles on it and I love it.. it's a ktm 390 ADV. It's not a crotch rocket, it's more like a dual sport but I love the way it looks and where I live id probably end up crashing on a crotch rocket bc the roads are horrible here with potholes and big bumps everywhere as well as a lot of dirt roads so this bike will fit in perfect.. besides, I don't think people who don't ride realize how fast even just a 400cc bike is. They may not be as fast as a 1000cc but they are definitely still pretty fast and you can still hurt yourself if your not careful...
