Genius. Enigma. Mavin: Exodus and New Beginnings.
From his beginnings as a serial hit-making producer to his transition into a music mogul with global dreams, Don Jazzy’s journey has come to define the expansion of African music in the last decade.
From steering ship at Mo'Hits to his new chapter at Mavin Records, the award-winning industry veteran has had an era-defining career of almost single handedly raising an entire generation of Afrobeats superstars.
Now, the doyen is keener on passing the torch to the next wave of afropop royalty.
In part two of his #BlackBox Interview episode, DonJazzy speaks in-depthly about the Mo’ Hits split, building Mavin, some tea on his love life and what’s next for Mavin Records.

I think Don Jazzy doesn't understand the power he carries. Seems there is some lack of self confidence in him that's deep rooted. He should give himself more credit. Having higher education or a lack of it isn't all that one needs to be who they are. Don Jazzy is an icon on his own and it's time he owned it. Take those speaking engagements one at a time baba. You're good to go. ❤

I think he's just being natural and humble. Going by this interview, He doesn't show any lack of confidence in the power he carries. Don't forget he said "I carry grace and believe I am always valuable" which depicts some level of self-awareness. Though I may agree that he is not a great communicator.

Watching this interview you can tell exactly why he holds his words back. People misunderstand him a lot, and he hates that. He hates being judged, so he'd rather just not say it than have random people give wrong opinions and interpertations. Watching this interview felt like watching myself in the mirror. Yes! I am very much like him, thats why i relate to him in a lot of things, even the love life.

Don J... I do understand. I have the same problem and I am a woman. Over sixty, I trust no one, I find people are not genuine, you can't be yourself with them. They wary easily, either, they now see you as not pretty or handsome as they hoped. People force us into having an obvious partner and when things go bad, they seem to enjoy the Wahala. I want a close love but, I'm happier single. Love yourself, take more care of your physical, take your time and save/or invest your money. I love you, I'm thankful for the work you have already put out. I love your laugh :-)

My dear, Don will never admit publicly his vulnerability of not having a wife in his life at this age. I don't think anyone can be happy of no having a wife/husband in her/his life. Anyone sick to build his own family, it's a need that's every human seeks for. It's not a matter of being happier to be single; it's also a matter to show the capacity of sacrifice for others because everybody can appreciate him from farway, but not beeing able to build a family can be a sign of someone who is very complicated to live with.

So interesting....first interview I will watch both parts to the end and not fast forward or anything...was laughing to the point, water dey drop self.. nice one guys..like the part were Ebuka keeps silence when he ask a question and he's not satisfied with the response cause he knows his silence will make the interviewee talk more even talk more than what asked....it's a skill! ❤️

It's very important to say your truth. Silence will only make the misconception grow. Before now, I use to loath Don Jazzy, I thought he was a manipulating human being especially after Dbanj and Wande Cole issues. Glad to finally hear him clarify things. Let me go follow him and support his hustle in my own little way. Nice job Ebuka
