next time you go to video tape this ask them to open up the compartment doors. I would really enjoy seeing the equipment this beast has inside of it.

Video of the old one running at its new home at East Petersburg Fire Company in PA. Its white over red now though. She's a beast. Jake brake on it is amazing

As a former engineer I have to say this is one beautiful rescue rig. However, its overall length poses unique challenges too many streets. I was actually looking for that Tillerman style Rescue rig that I've seen elsewhere, but finding a video is nearly impossible.

+hldtrm Yeah it really is! I think that they should of spent their money on a new station rather than a truck that can't even fit in it.

That's a very cool truck, but it seems like a hell of a lot of rescue truck for a small town FD. What's going on in Bound Brook that they need the "largest truck Pierce MFG has ever built", when departments in cities 10x the size of Bound Brook don't have apparatus nearly that large? Just seems the money could've been spent better elsewhere within the department.

***** In hindsight, I realize my comment did come across as overly critical of the Bound Brook FD, and that was certainly not my intention. My comment was legitimately posted out of curiosity. As I said, this is a hell of a large piece of equipment for such a small town (population just over 10,000), but your point about this possibly being a "regional" piece, responsible for providing mutual aid to multiple neighboring communities isn't one I'd considered. In closing, I certainly didn't mean to "judge" or sound overly critical of the Bound Brook FD, and apologize for giving that impression.

@@rudeboystu69 it's not even the FD, it's the Rescue Squad. In some cities they operate as two different entities.

Looks like a department got a lot of OPM, Other People's Money, to spend. Likely federal disaster preparedness grants.

Awesome truck, but whoever thought outfitting it with about 3,600 red/blue UNSYNC'D Whelen heads (and effectively turning it into a purple blob) should be shot. That is one of the most dangerous mistakes people make when outfitting apparatus.
