Bourbon Restoration (1814-1830) Unofficial Anthem "Où peut-on être mieux qu'au sein de sa famille"

5 жыл бұрын"Where can we be better than in his family" was an unofficial national anthem of the Kingdom of France during the First Restoration and the Second Restoration between 1815 and 1830. This song was mainly played during the presence of the royal family.
The song comes from the room Lucile of Jean-François Marmontel that was first played on January 5, 1769. The melody was composed by the Liège André Grétry . The melody will be repeated later by the verviétois Henri Vieuxtemps in the adagio of his fifth concerto for violin.

L'ogre Bonaparte a conquis l'Europe et a donné encore plus de gloire à la France. Là où les deux branleurs qu'étaient Louis XV et Louis XVI ont ruiné le royaume dans des guerres inutiles. Mention à Louis XVI qui a attaqué son peuple pour remonter sur le trône en faisant appel à l'empire d'Autriche.

@@Raisonnance. Louis XVI a redonné à la France une armée de qualité et une flotte capable de rivaliser avec la Navy . Louis XV a été mauvais par bien des égards , mais Louis XVI a été trop bon . Il aurait pu et du massacrer les parisiens. Napoléon a juste réussi à coaliser le monde civilisé contre la France . Même Louis XIV n'a pas réussi cet exploit .

Mdr mise à part quelques obscures nostalgiques, tout les français se foutent d'une éventuelle monarchie. Il y aurait peut être toujours un roi si Charles X n'avait pas été aussi con, en attendant, avec la constitution de la Vème république Macron a plus ou moins un pouvoir de monarque.

Luxemburgh don't speak French. Half of Belgium didn't and still don't speak French. Not even 1/3 of Switzerland speak French (basically just Romandie). And in France, the south spoke Occitan, not French. Britanny too didn't even speak French. A lot of France should't have been France in the first place. The Empire war of conquests were unjustified.

Imagine believing in the Enlightenment, storming the Bastille, surviving Robespierre’s Reign of Terror, marching proudly to serve Napoleon Bonaparte and France in the coalition wars, and walking tired, cold, and hungry in the Russian snow back home just to hear this music and see the damn Bourbons strut back into Paris... I would feel betrayed by God. I believe in the necessity of a monarch to preserve the nation and its traditions, but not the Bourbons. Never the Bourbons

Don't blame the Bourbons, they're cool and were just forced to take the throne by opportunistic nations who couldn't cope with the New Order. Blame Britain for extending the European conflict, whom so desperately financed nations to form coalitions and crusade against Napoleon, and blame Napoleon too in post-1812 for being too much of a gloryhound whom so declared war on Russia which later proved to be a massive disaster. Robespierre did a lot wrong and betrayed the very ideals which built the Revolution, of whom killed those who opposed the Terror including his former best friend, Danton, and turned France into a bloody tyranny and have a degrading society.
