The beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-water contains another one within it as a visit to the Model Village (behind the Old New Inn) will reveal. It was originally opened in 1937 and even has a model of the model village within itself. Anyone visiting is in for a great delight and surprise with its complexity and size. The model village now has its own Grade II Listed status!

A few years ago I was working away from home for about 3 weeks or so and we stayed in this gorgous village, I think the name of the bed and breakfast was the Landsdown, lovely breakfast. It was winter time and a lot of the surrounding area was flooded and the river that runs through the village was very high and flowing quite fast. One of the pubs that is just over one of the bridges had the river flowing right passed it at the back where the beer garden is and it was flowing so fast it looked like rapids. Beautiful place, I always wanted to go back there in the summer but I never got the chance. A must see village.
