I’m glad y’all talked about the Amazon thing. So many drag artists buy things off these types of websites it’s just what you do with it and how you sell it that makes it looks expensive I kind of hate the lesson that you shouldn’t buy things from *insert discount website* you should just do things to elevate it

I believe Jarvis' concept was the embodiment of Puritanical America, from the pilgrims, who killed much of the Wampanoags in Plymouth, all the way to today, where Christian fundamentalists will demonize and disenfranchise minority groups (as shown with the Julie x Lucy t-shirt being impaled on Jarvis' pitchfork). I personally thought the look was well put together, but I agree the concept could've been a lot clearer. That said, I would say "spooky killer pilgrim" works for the theme of "Terror in the Woods," at least to me And yes, Gia, the pilgrims did in fact land on Plymouth Rock! We love a historically-knowledgeable queen!

I was very excited hearing jarvis explain the concept and immediately went, yes, settler colonialism & the (on going) genocide of indigenous people and how the develop of the nation state & late stage capitalism we are where are are now 😩 that’s truly terror in the woods. I love a political look and I feel there maybe could have been some additional aspects of the performance whether thru selling it or props for people who don’t immediately go, yeah this event in itself is wrong & then set it motion *everything else* Also I’m from Massachusetts and my politics lead me enjoy the look/commentary but it was absolutely lost on my friend 😅 Looking forward to see what other things both the kings bring this season tho!!

@@Emmagoldman420 Yeah, I completely agree that perhaps a more on-the-nose prop could have made the concept more obvious and, just like you, the fact I was born and raised in Massachusetts definitely plays a part in why I understood the look to be "Terror in the Woods"

terror in the woods, how did we not get not 1 big bad wolf trying to munch up the campers??? i've lived in the woods most of my life, wolves be scary and HUGE, also orks look reminded me of that one look abhora did on titans where they asked for cosmic horror and she was an angel eating a bird... its scary yeah, but doesn't meet the challenge, they asked for terror in teh woods, ork gave them bug man in a clean coat, also whole episode everyone kept bieng like there are 2 marshmellow looks, one is better than the other, i see em both and i'm like yep jay took it, he was so scared, but they gonna love it and he's getting an early redemption arc, then pow in the bottom and i give my screen sideeye... mind you I love blackberri, am very excited to see what she brings this season, but I liked jay's look better and idk why the boulets didn't.

One thing I never understood about the show is -- when they sound off the alarm for the stage show will about to commence -- they are all panicking but --- when they show up on stage -- they are all put together in their outfits / make-up. So what exactly is the purpose of the alarm?

Solid review. I think the editing of the episode in the bg has gotten a lot better. Personally i think having kendra there really helps balance the comedy of the show so im looking forward to seeing her back and id love to see gia in a bang

Ya the floor show editing does seem a tad off. They’ll show the looks in the first half first thennn play crazy music to show the reveals / skits and sometimes it doesn’t flow for certain peoples looks.

This is the only Dragula review I make sure to watch through and through because you Ghouls are always amazing and so often one of you will say a detail about something that haven't heard anywhere online like Gia said about Nio's tails. It was my only critique really and I thought she still deserved the win but I haven't heard anyone mention it. Also yay Satanna is on the next episode!!! 🩷🖤🩷
