When Blackberri explained her filth concept, I was all for it, but when it came down to it, and I saw what she brought on the runway. I instantly understood what the Boulet Brothers were saying, I see that she is not comfortable being completely ugly, busted, and filthy. I was hoping her opossum outfit would look like it had mange, I was hoping for it to have garbage juice stained matted fur with pieces of food and garbage entangled in it. I was hoping it would look like Yu-Gi-Ohs Bone and Tormented Rat cards but as an opossum. That's what I was hoping for, and I agree the categories for this season's finale that have been shown were not as good.

This finale needed wayyyy more FILTH, HORROR, and GLAMOUR. Period. Other seasons did it better. But I totally agree with Nio being the winner, she was my favorite and carried the whole season. She brought intrigue and something new and fierce to Dragula.

So my conspiracy theory is that production planned for Throb to win and then they became all wish/washy about how they were presenting their drag and their gender and if they were a drag king or queen and it just all became to problematic so they gave it to someone else … just my theory though

Blackberri’s look was definitely giving 13 Ghosts! If a movie deserves a remake, it should be this movie. The background stories for each is so horrifying, like I wish we could have seen more of their stories in the movie. The more I look at Blackberri’s look it actually reminds me of one of the 13 Ghosts, The Hammer. And I agree, I was very whelmed.

I agree with Mayday on everything she said. ALL FACTS! I love someone who scared to say how they feel. Unfiltered and unashamed. Mother!

Throb's horror look was a kidnapped, enslaved bride, who was r*ped and impregnated by her attacker, who probably also destroyed her village and killed her family. The lock at her crotch was symbolic of being trapped because of the specific vulnerability of female anatomy; it was not chastity. Comes across to me immediately and I think most AFAB people would get it right away, because that's the nightmare and you always have to guard against it happening to you, even today. Idk, kind of worrisome to me that it seems to be so incomprehensible to most of the Dragula audience. I'd liken the horror of this one with Hoso's horror look, which was of her near death medical battle. With both of them, it was about the experience of horror. As a note, I do think that this approach evokes more of a feeling of sympathy for the character, the horror is indirect and complex. This is different from feeling horror directly by being horrified by a frightening monster-character. So I do see how these aren't necessarily the best for the horror category. But I think that these sorts of looks have a lot of substance and artistic value and expression. It just kind of sucks that it doesn't seem like there's place for them on Dragula. There was kind of an attempt for Titans to have the finale be purely up to the drag artist, which I don't think worked well because everyone missed the three iconic categories. Maybe there could be Filth, Horror, Glam, and just Drag as a forth category, to really showcase artistic expression. And maybe people would have better luck understanding the piece if they weren't distracted trying to fit it cleanly into the specific categories?

I dont disagree w mayday but i will say, i feel like mayday isnt very good at communicating her thoughts. They feel a little vague and she can be a bit wordy. Not hating, just saying. You could get to the point a little faster. Maybe come into the booview with some notes?

I agree with “most” of the commentary. This finale was very underwhelming. I agree 100% with MayDay regarding Org and clocking him. Blackberri stole the show with the 14th ghost! I think she needed some barbed wire on that cage, and def more flesh. Maybe some electrodes hooked up to it! I loved Throbs last super dress, but she should have showed up to dinner as a King. I dunno!

Am I the only one that really truly liked the Grand Finale???? I thought it was the best from every season! Blackberri was fucking stunning (except for that prosthetic nose mishap), Throb was fantastic in the Filth category (did you see her DRINK the soapy scum!!!), and Niohuru X's Glamour look was like nothing I've ever seen - it was flawless. Ladytron said it best "Destroy Everything You Touch". You need to have an addendum to this one. I fucking loved it. Orgotik and Niohuru patched things up! Really profound interviews with each of them! I just don't get all the hate-we should be showering our contestants with love.

Throb could have been clearer on his horror. The princess is a victim of sexual assault. She’s been forcefully impregnated. I would have liked it to be scarier, maybe have an aborted fetus or something. But the horror is in being a kept and r!!ped woman.

BB’s wasn’t horror to me, it was glamour. I wish she had gone with viscera instead of rhinestones I would have loved to see this look going full horror and not something with cartoon lips . And thank you Mayday for calling out Throb’s microagressions.

The funniest thing about the finale to me was getting to the crowning after Glamour, looking at Orkgotik, and going "WHY WASN'T THIS YOUR GLAMOUR LOOK?!". It would've been a great look for that category.

Throbs was the most filth, as someone who actually nearly throws up when dealing with wet hair in the shower, I literally can not deal with getting wet clumps of hair out the drain. Its nasty. Not everyone will feel that way. But for me, Throb was filth. Only thing that would of upped it would of been for throb to pull our dirty gross wet hair from that bucket and start chomping on it.
