Thanks for the tip. I have two FMJ out of a dozen where the insert didnt seat into the arrow enough. I've been looking for a way to get it out. Cant wait to try this.

Thank you for that. I got 2 arrows that I shot into a stump. I cut them out but the inserts partly came out. Now I can replace them. Also thanks for turning me on to FOBS. I need to get a couple more packs but that will wait till spring when the snow melts and I can go out and shoot. I learned many years ago that if you shoot an arrow into the snow you will never get it back. I lost an arrow under my neighbors lawn last summer.

When there not stuck in my arrow I just put them on the stove in hot water and let it sit there then you can pull them out easy

Any tips on removing an insert with threads stuck in it? My arrow head broke clean off the shaft leaving the threaded part inside the insert.

Great tip Kenny thank you for posting that. Also will this work with other brand's of insert glue's like say ( Bohning Insert Iron ) for instance.

Have you tried getting a drill bit that is just under size of the inside diameter of the shaft and dropping it down the shaft from the knock end then swing the arrow allowing that drill bit to act like a hammer and slam that insert out? I saw a video on that but haven't tried it.... I thought maybe the cutting edge on the bit may hurt the arrow so Im gonna get a 10inch long bit and cut the cutting portion of the bit off before I try.

i tried to remove a standart insert and field tip of my easton lightspeed but it doesn't work with heating the tip any other ways?

Will this work for h.i.t. inserts as well?
