Laying here watching your videos wishing I could go on a guided hunt this year but I fell down my basement stairs and broke my leg in three places. Now I have a titanium rod down through my tibia along with some screws. I’ll be out of work for three months. At least I have your videos to keep my spirits up. Thank you for another great one.

I'm like you I would have passed to just because of being the first day. But that was a TOAD!!!

I thought that the shot looked lethal for sure but felt that if it was 2 inches lower, it would have been a heart shot and 3 inches further back would have been the double lung. I was not surprised that it traveled a bit with not much blood. I am curious if you opened him up and inspected the shot in relation to the vitals.

It was a double lung shot. Really odd situation that he went that far and all the blood was inside the body cavity.

I have been looking at Bear hunts in Canada and they are anywhere from 3,500 - 6,000 for a 5 day hunt. Any thoughts on pricing? I have asked all the pertinent questions it just seems some outfitters charge allot more than others but offer the same hunt/accomodations/success rate. I ran the math and with flights, liscense and taxidermy you could easily spend 7,000+ on a bear hunt. This seems really overpriced to me. Am I missing somthing? Thank you

You are right about the pricing and often the higher priced ones are no better than the lower priced ones. It's really best to call references and ask a lot of questions. Usually on Canadian hunts, the price of the license is included. Driving to a hunt takes more time, but can also save money.

I haven't been to Canada in years due to being stupid yrs ago, but now I see they have opened up the border to dui offenders. I would like to go back up there again before I get to where I am unable to do it anymore. Just curious what did that trip cost you license included?

Most hunts like this include the license and run between $3000-$4000.
