I love the contrast of their stories; Peach is preparing for war, and Bowser is preparing for a proposal. The editing brings it all together nicely, flipping back and forth between the two and even overlapping dialogue. You did an excellent job!

Honestly, I feel bad for bowser. He just did this all for love and the reason he wanted to marry peach is bc he felt lonely and no one liked him and ik he destroyed almost everything but he's just lonley and the part where she said " you really thought i would marry you?" "Kinda" and his face after that is just sad tbh

In fact, in Mario's manga (which I would like Illumination and Netflix to make a series) it appears that Mario went out to see someone and Peach, Luigi and Toad follow him, that's when they find out that he is talking to Bowser and Mario asks him to I changed, meaning that he is no longer evil and he is sure that Peach would like that but Bowser said that if he were good no one would respect him and he calmly tells him that he is also evil because Peach likes Mario and he replies that they are just friends but then he says nice things about her which is the reason why he always helps her by making peach blush and making Bowser tell him that instead of becoming good Mario and peach should join him but mario says they can't because that's wrong , ending with Bowser leaving and Cursing Mario in a simple way and the manga ends with Luigi and Toad telling Mario that they already know everything and with Peach still blushing and showing Mario a Smile (For her Idea of trying to Change Bowser and to tell her the reasons why Mario loves her) Seriously, this part of the manga should be adapted to a series

And also he isn't loved by anyone (only by his ppl but only bc he's so powerful) so that's why he forced princess Peach to be with him ig, so he won't be lonely and finally can be loved. (That's just what I think btw.) It was an amazing movie tho!

It would even be enough if peach just accepts Bowser as a friend but for that he needs to be less of "hinself" as you mentioned. But that would destroy the classic Arch-Villain of Nintendo so i dont think Bowser will change that much xD I still love him anyway xD
