He is not the first anime character reincarnated in another world to crave home cooking, nor will he be the last. One of my favorite examples is one that is summoned to a new world as a hero, immediately gets promoted to king, and eventually has soy sauce be reinvented some episodes later.

Imo the Ex Arm adaptation makes Berserk (2016) look like a masterpiece, but they're still both bad adaptations.

@@SpaceBot-pp9yj In some scenes of berserk 2016 they do mix in 3d and 2d animation, but they skip so much and show later parts of the manga in the first episode, the storytelling is all off from the actual timeline, and they mix the 3d animation horribly with 2d but like you said, it's your opinion

technically he did not eat for MONTHS because theres this quote where it says : "ngak ada nasi, belum makan" which roughly translates to "no rice? haven't eaten." basically its trying to say that if you ate a meal with out rice that means you haven't eaten yet. (black summoner really be so asian that he craves rice, the food he eat every day.

It's been in anime/pop culture for awhile that DBZ is known for this and now people just say that as if all anime's do that due to the popularity of the DBZ meme. Why did they make it so much tamer compared to the manga!? The blood and crazy facial expressions were what made me love it so much! I like how some of the characters in this anime are most of the time two dimensional, but sometimes they get a 3D form while Gerard is just casually always in 3D
