boygenius chats with ET on the red carpet at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, which air Sunday on CBS and Paramount+. The trio reacts to their GRAMMY win and share what they'll do if they win more on music's biggest night. boygenius also opens up about their hiatus, which they announced days prior, and what their win means for the future of the group.

While the hiatus is sad news for me, I totally understand what they mean. Their album was so perfect and there are no skips on it for me. It packs a punch and they said everything they wanted to convey.

The Rest is just as satisfying. I'm so happy for the boys!!! But they've been on a long, intense promotional tour since 'the record' was announced last year. And they toured hard, too. Enjoy the break, boys! We'll all still be here when you're ready to make 'the next record'! ❤❤❤

ofc nonstop good music/albums are ideal, but i've had favorite bands/artists crank out albums that seemed forced and were so bad... good things DO take time

Yeah, the other thing is the insane amount of pressure that a follow up album would present, especially since they won a Grammy. I'd rather they make a follow up album when it's right for them, not when the fans are clamouring for one or a record label is asking for one. Their solo work is just as great as The Record (hopefully it'll lead to people checking all the recent ones they did).

Love them so much. Taylor and the Swifties need to listen and absorb this deep into their souls. More is not always better. You don’t need to announce a new album as you’re being awarded for the present one.
