Hey Mr. Hobby Time! I had an idea for a Star Wars diorama. It’s that scene from Rogue One when the U-Wing just barely makes it out of the crashing debris on Jehda and into hyperspace. Just an idea!!!

As a SCUBA diver, I particularly love this dioroma. One thing that I have noticed is that all of the dioramas I've seen no one has ever shown the air expelled by said divers rising through the water column. I think that doing so will add movement or action to ones dioramas. I do agree that your channel is in the top. 0001%.

Absolutely right. Furthermore, everybody struggles to get rid of the bubbles when creating an underwater diorama, when in reality the bubbles in the water are everywhere.

I thought that this would be the one time when you would want air bubbles in the resin. 🤔 Though I am not sure how to get them to appear to come from just the diver...🤷🏻‍♂️

i think thalasso hobbyer did this in some of their dioramas, you might be interested in checking them out :D they also added background fish by painting them on pieces of resin, i don't remember if they did it very often though

Ooh check out Thalasso hobbyer’s “Dog Lover and the Nightmare” video! He had a really neat technique for making bubbles trailing up from a diver. In his Far: Changing Tides diorama he also used a similar technique to add fish to the background, which was pretty neat as well. :)

Quick tip for adhering plastic to plastic: There's this stuff you can get at most hobby stores called plastic weld usually under the name "Plastruct". It works very well and can still be used even after applying a few layers of acrylic paint.

I have an idea for a diorama if you’re particularly interested... I think something along the lines of a cross section, showing the interior of a small cabin, decorated with wall mounted heads from monsters the owner has hunted. Maybe a “bear” skin rug, with some kind of unique creature playing the carpet. And if that’s not scary enough for you, you could add a small basement or wine-cellar with some kind of monster waiting for the hunters upstairs to go to sleep. Any way, great work. The stories you’re able to tell in these small dioramas are incredible and always captivating. I’m always excited, seeing a new post. Thanks.

I was really surprised when you put black tape around the bottom to finish it off instead of the infamous Black 3.0 or Black 4.0. I love how this project turned out (like always). All the little bubbles inside help bring out the feeling it's actually underwater instead of just in resin

Well done again, I'm from Australia & I was also into SCUBA diving back in the day & have come across Moray Eels on more than one occasion & I can tell you that even the normal sized ones are scary as crap especially when they lunge out of their hole at you.

I have a terrible fear of the things that lurk under the surface. And at the same time am absolutely fascinated by shipwrecks and the like. This piece came out great and I like how a couple of simple swaps created your diver to look like he fits perfectly. I wish I could paint half as well as you do, but there's never any harm in trying to get better. Overall a great video! Thanks!

Fantastic undersea diorama Mr Boylei!! That resin came out gorgeous, I'd have thought that this would be the one time when you'd want some air bubbles. Especially if they could appear to be coming from the diver's scuba gear...🤔 Also, I must say that the oil washes on the rocks are spectacular and have really upped the realism of your dioramas. Which for you that is saying a lot. Great job!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Keep up the good work! One thing that I just noticed but completely missed on your other, previous videos was at 0:03. What a great diorama this turned out to be. Your details on the Astro-FFL-diver really worked and I absolutely couldnt tell it wasn't anything but exactly what you turned it into. I really like it. I love that the water isn't too dark and doesn't seem to take away from the beautiful paint job and detail, like I have seen in so many others videos when they put all that great work into a diorama and pour dark blues or really mucky water colored resin and it always takes so much away from the hard work put into it. What I always thought would work better in some of the water diorama resin pours is to put a lip on the top of the plastic form then lay it on the back side and pour a layer on the back panel then do the same on both ends and then when those dry fill the rest with either clear or a lighter color pour. Then it seems you would still get the effects of the water but still be able to see the beautiful work put into the diorama. And maybe even a colored layer on top to finish it off. I don't know if that would work for sure but it seems like it would, what do you think my friend? But like I said the resin water in this one came out excellent to be able to see the beautiful work in it. Would like to hear your thoughts on the above. 👍👍👍

Wonderful diorama, felt like it would fit into the Imaginary West. Some guy is going spear fishing in his heavy diving suit but ends up facing a giant moray eel who is also out looking for food and a fight ensues.

Wow, a fantastic idea for a great scenery ! Perhaps I would have painted the diver in a slightly different color just to improve the contrast, like in an oil painting, but overall you did a superbe job with a great creativity!

I actually thought the blurry part behind the diver was sand kicked up by the diver you did intentionally. Awesome diorama as always!

I know that bubbles in resin don’t usually look good, but I think this diorama would’ve been one of the few exceptions. Like the eel could have had bubbles surrounding it like it had just moved, and the scuba diver having bubbles come out of his mask. It would’ve been pretty hard to manipulate, but in my opinion, the end result would’ve been very rewarding.
