Wow! Been awhile since I've heard this one. This was a remake song for Boyz ll Men. I first heard the original in the 70's from a movie called Cooley High. Great movie about some high school fellas' in 1960's Chicago. The song was playing during a funeral scene of one of the guys.

I was in middle and high school in the 90's (graduated in 1996) and Boyz II Men were everything.

Check out the movie when you have a moment. In fact, when I graduated from the 8th grade (1976), we selected this as our graduation song. 🎶 Side note: G.C. Cameron was a Motown artist and (for a very short time) a member of the group The Spinners when he sang lead on their hit "It's a Shame" (1970). 🙂

This is kind of their tribute to all of the greats in that day who passed on. If you look at the little black and white tv, they were shown there. I couldn’t see everyone, but one was Sammy Davis Jr., one of the entertainers who was part of the “Rat Pack,” and another was our beloved Gilda Radner who played the popular “Rosanna Rosanna Danna” on Saturday Night Live.
