Old school is where it’s at, gentlemen. Keith Sweat was a staple in R&B, along with the late Aaliyah.

This song was #1 in the US-billboards - and around the world. Tears for Fears are still touring in 2024, fill places like Madison Square Garden and Arenas worldwide. Respect them!

Ska came first in Jamaica in the 50s & 60s before rocksteady and reggae. The Specials, along with several other UK bands, were a second wave of ska that came along in the late 70s, early 80s. The third wave happened in America in the late 80s & 90s and bears little resemblance to the first or second wave. For fun sounds, find UK DJ David Rodigan. (BBC Sounds) He’ll teach.

I'm so reflective right now, remembering how angry but free I felt, at this time when I was 18. I went to sleep to their music every night. I've been so fortunate to have seen them 4 times and gotten to meet and hang out with Roland 3 of those times. He's one of the most fascinating humans to ever be here.

Interesting fact, as an army medic, we learned to do chest compressions(when the person has no pulse) to this beat, 30 presses, 1 full breath of air, then keep going 30 to this beat in our mind thinking "staying alive". Do that till either someone is willing to take over or the patient is determined as "not staying alive" by a qualified doctor. This song is literally a lifesaver...
