How about a return to Bob Seger? You loved him, if I recall, and he’s well worth a deeper dive.

This driving drum shuffle pattern is probably my most favorite of all. The starts, the stops, the chops and all those powerful dynamic accents, always gets my blood pumping.

Boz’s Silk Degrees album is great! I wore my vinyl of that album out!

One of the greatest shuffle tunes EVER!! The late great Jeff Porcaro R I P on drums. When I was driving a truck around the country I found the Boz Scaggs Greatest Hits CD, I played this song for 5 hours straight! Regarding drums and tuning, there are SOOO many factors that come into play that influence their sound....the recording engineer, the room, the drums themselves, the mics/micing, a good engineer will make ANY drums sound good. Great reaction!

Another new sound from Boz . . . Sierra. Talk about a guitar solo. I honestly believe this is the most beautiful song I have ever heard.

I got to see Boz Scaggs about 5 years ago at The Jazz Festival in Ottawa. Still fantastic after all these years.

BTW, the core studio musicians used in the recording of Silk Degrees ended up forming a band called Toto a couple of years later.

Saw him in Buffalo 7-8 years ago. Ended the show with this and then came out for encore and did "Loan me a Dime" great!

I had no idea this was Boz Scaggs! I've heard this song a MILLION times. Wow.

One of the best "opening acts" I've ever seen. Saw the "Silk Degrees" tour back in the mid 70's. I couldn't even tell you what band or artist Boz even opened for. Maybe Santana, maybe Jefferson Starship, who knows. All I know is his back up band was pure fire. I heard 2 or 3 members of that band formed "Toto" the following year.

I was SO BLESSED to grow up listening to this man and his music. So crazy talented. That sound you hear in the bridge is 2 mini-moogs . I LOVE those! They were used by many different musicians for their very cool, INMO, sound. Great reaction video!

Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees is one of the greatest albums of the seventies. And that's saying a lot!

In fact as soon as I'm done typing, imma go listen to that .... If you haven't already, I highly recommend you just download the entire album. I think you'll especially love the track "Harbor Lights"-- very romantic/jazzy --- just beautiful!

Love Look What You've Done To Me is my favorite Boz Scaggs song.

Memories. When I was a really little kid, my dad who didn’t speak English fell for that 8 albums for 1 cent deal. ImEnded up with this album on an 8-track. This was my favorite song on that album.

I can only recommend "Gimme the goods" from his follow up album "Down Two then Left", played by the same band.

Beautiful ballad? "We're All Alone". His distinct voice makes that song.

I didn't realize how much I liked Boz Scaggs until I got his anthology album - lots of stuff I've not heard before - awesome!

I have long enjoyed the way the keyboard riff after the breakdown builds in layers, channel to channel, one keyboard voice per channel.

Miss Sun and Miss Riddle are great songs by Boz and worth a listen.

Silk Degrees is like a greatest hits album! He's still doing' it today. You should check out his recent albums like 'Memphis'. song: "Mixed Up, Shook Girl" which is a Willie DeVille song.

You can pretty much pick out any song from the Silk Degrees album and it will be good, but 2 in particular that I recommend are "Georgia" and "It's Over". A good song of his that isn't from Silk Degrees is "Jojo".

I suggested in your last Boz reaction to check out his Greatest Hits Live concert and the songs from it because the quality and performances are superior and definitely as good if not better than the studio versions. If you do, "Miss Sun" should be next, live especially for his interaction with his backup singer. Trust me.
