I met my wife in February of 1977, before this song was even written. We were engaged on 5-27-77 and married on 9-10-77. I met her while she was a cashier at a Regal gas station one cold nite. I saw her eyes, like fire in the night and asked her out right there, after seeing the moon, she was the one.. We did get crazy all night long, many times! The rest is history. We started out poor, me 21 her 20, we have done very well together. We both have had our bout with cancer, she is still fighting her lymphoma and always will at this point. This song could have been written for us. It is our favorite Boz song. Look what you've done to me........

I met my wife when she was 18 - I was stunned, and said to myself - I'm gonna marry you one day, and I did. After 31 years of joy and passion, she passed, aged 49 from cancer - and that was 8 years ago. I hurt every day - without a lie. I know that some can move on and have another partner, and that's fantastic. I feel for those that have lost children - that's not meant to happen. But I find some comfort in having a few quiet beers, and listening to awesome music like this. Ka Kite All.

David Foster and Boz Skaggs came up with a real gem in such a short notice that became one of my all time favorite romantic songs. My 20 year old son and my 39 year old son adore Boz. My other two kids don’t appreciate him as much. Don’t dislike him, they just don’t put him on repeat all day. But, they introduce me to other music, so I guess I’ll let them hang around

I'd be honored if some Steely Dan & Boz Scaggs fans would take a listen to my live piano & vocal performances of JOSIE and WE'RE ALL ALONE on my YT channel in tribute to the masters of late 70s groove. Live acoustic with no digital editing. Thanks and peace.

Something in this song touches me. It could be Boz's voice, the lyrics, the music. Not sure, but it makes me think of lonely, rainy nights, spent wishing for someone to love.

I met her when I was 14 and I loved Anne all through high school. After graduation she left me for another. She even invited me to her wedding, knowing that I could not go. But I did go, and sat in my car crying in the distance where I saw the most beautiful golden angel in white walk down the steps of the church, and walk out of my life forever. Years and decades passed and one day, many years later, she did come back to me to tell me she was getting a divorce, and how sorry she was about us. But she had changed and so had I and we were different people. The world had changed and nothing was the same as before and we knew we could not go back. They found her at home, alone, dead of an overdose. As I place flowers on your grave today Anne I hope somehow you know how much I loved you. RIP.

Well James, I now have tears in my eyes, this is very emotional heartbreaking story. But at least you still loved and cared for Anne enough, to put flowers on her grave, in remembrance and honour, for both you and Anne's love.
