The music was so much better back in the 60's and 70's! Rap and hip-hop are hideous and a terrible influence on kids and teens because they glorify gangs, criminality, and the abuse of women. If enough people, especially younger demographics, demand music of similar styles and quality, music companies will get the message and sell new songs of this type of music again.

Royce (Boz) and I grew up in and went to school in the same city, Dallas, back in the early 60's (although in neighboring schools). He has one of the greatest voices I've ever had the privilege to listen to, regardless of song, genre, whatever. We didn't know each other, he was a couple years older; yet I've followed his career all these many years. A true American treasure, he never over commercialized. With him it was always about the music, the poetry, the final product....the art. You know, that indefinable thing that touches our very souls.
