BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1980's
Southcote Junction (Reading) on 2nd August 1989
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Southcote Junction to the south of Reading where the "Berks and Hants" route diverges with the Basingstoke line via Bramley route. taken on 02/08/1989. A very varied and intense set of haulage passes through this junction and still does to this day albeit not so varied as in this clip. Future visits have been made to this interesting location and has been noted as a favourite hotspot to enthusiasts. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
