The University of the Witwatersrand campus, which houses the Wits Planetarium and Wits Art Museum and showcases African artworks ranging from traditional textiles to modern paintings, is the focal point of hip Braamfontein. The Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct features exhibits on local political history and is presently home to the Constitutional Court. The area is filled with stores, art galleries, rooftop bars, and trendy South African restaurants.

Braamfontein is absolutely beautiful. Much cleaner than the CBD and you have less chances of being exposed to crime compared to the CBD. Thank you for this amazing tour Dave.

Agree 100% Used to live in the area while studying Art RAU in Auckland Park 👍 and Doornfontein. I love braams or what we used to refer to as "braamies" ... nice area !

Min. 11.00 De Korte , still such a safe and beautyful street 🥰 Braams has never lost it's attraction compared to some hoekies in Marshalltown.

I was there back in August on my fifth visit to SA from Chicago. It is really nice. You must have gone there earlier as it seemed not to be many people. It really has an energetic vibe later in the afternoon. I'll be back in SA in a couple of weeks, and will definitely visit Braamfontein again.

I didn't capture it, but there were a few vans from Curiocity dropping international tourists every hour specially at lunch time. I noticed because Spanish and French are two languages I am very familiar with.

Hello. This area (Braamfontein) is part of Johannesburg CBD. You will find many Colleges based there and mainly WITS UNIVERSITY main Campus. 💖💖🙏🙏
