Lance Anderson. It’s really not that much of a thought process. He has all the machinery he needs to make the work 100X easier on himself.... the knowledge and execution of the work being done is second nature to him anyway, and on top of that he gets a shit load of money from Add revenue for making such videos. I appreciate the videos just as much as the next man, but it’s not rocket science todo some structural works and move a camera around.

In addition to your advices: Mr. Camarata should fill up the cracks after removing the tree and roots. Because otherwise water will go into the crack and in wintertime that water will freeze. The hydraulic power of the ice will easily widen the cracks (because ice has much more volume than water). Best regards, luck and health.

@@Engineer9736 No, owca is right! If the rock slides sideways the beams will simply slide with it. That's a fact and definitely no guess! You can see this at every shelf without diagonal support (or like a ladder without spokes). Two smaller horizontal beams welded in (or even better = two diagonal ones) would stabilize this already well done construction considerably. Best regards luck health and wisdom.

Hey, thanks again. I ask out of ignorance, someone once told me to wet cement before putting new concrete against it. Supposedly the old would rob the water from the new. I notice you do not do that, I don’t recall in any of your videos having seen you do that. Do you have any concerns? Have you heard this before? I mean obviously your concerns, if any, must be minimal. Thank you.

Dear @@chapc You wet stone walls and wall plaster before putting mortar/plaster respectively another layer of plaster/mortar on it. If the wall or the plaster is older, it's necessary to use a special and very thin primer. Usually hardened concrete does not suck water because the capillaries are much more tight. To bind/connect new to old concrete it is useful to roughen the old surface. A very special primer should also be used. This chemical product kind of opens the pores. Additionally you can drill holes into the old concrete and stick pieces of steel rods (less in diameter than the holes) into the holes. Best regards, luck, health and wisdom.

RIch Pape - I do not procrastinate! I think and ponder on how best to achieve a desired outcome, sometimes for months. The fact it only takes an hour or two to do the actual job I put down to my thinking on how to best accomplish the task in question.

So true! Part of his genius is his confidence in visualizing the whole task. Then he must feel comfortable enough to put in the effort. I wouldn't have that trust and would be stuck before I ever began. He trusts his plan, gets started, addresses changes along the way and has the balls to push through to completion. It's inspiring and a pleasure to watch.

Oh, also, he isn't afraid to make mistakes and show the whole dang world when he makes one!!

I have worked with a few people as good as him but none any better. I have worked in that area before. We were on a storm response team that moved & operated big generators behind Wal Marts. The mountain went bad for no reason after only like 4.5 million years

Nathan Fields the reason is that the mountain used to be surrounded in dirt and shale. Once you expose three sides you really open up the possibility of movement, especially in sedimentary rock. This is why we get rock slides year round. Typically water gets in the cracks and erodes the rock, then freeze expansion weakens the rock further opening the cracks etc etc ad nauseam.
