Every moment of that was transcendental, there’s just nothing to touch him.

Bravo to Brad Mehldau! Best jazz pianist today.

That performance of Hey Joe is remarkable. The way Brad hangs on that E at the end for an extra two seconds- he's hanging on to the last tendrils of energy he was channeling there. Something special, man...that was special.

0:39:05 Is right when Brad enters into a resonant relationship with the room and co-explores and co-creates a remarkable exposition of the human experience. Remarkable.

I love his mutated covers that I can recognize just enough.

I give a lot of credit to Brad for posting his concerts and allowing for live chat and comments. I think he is a fantastic piano stylist and I look forward to his continued success and exploration into folk, pop, rock, ethnic, classical and jazz interpretations. Here’s That Rainy Day never sounded sunnier.

I love his solo playing. All of it sounds like he is channeling Keith Jarrett Bremen/Lausanne solo concert while playing through Beatles and Radiohead tunes..

27:42 I love this. It sounds like an Irish folk song.
@fromatozzz7 ай бұрын

Briljant! But please SmallsLive don’t allow commercials breaks within this performance. Seems so inappropriate. Especially in this small setting. It’s not a funniest cat’s of the week compilation clip.

So, why compare? Brad is Brad and Keith is Keith and both are amazing musical voices in their own right!

KJ is a fumbling, brick handed amateur next to this gentle genius laying out magic @ every chord change!
