HOW HAVE SO MANY, MISSED OUT ON THE GENIUS OF BRAD SMITH AND BLIND MELON? NO QUESTION, ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS TO EVER RECORD. PUT SOME HEADPHONES ON AND SIT BACK AND LISTEN TO THE SOUP ALBUM. THE LAME CRITICS DIDN'T LIKE IT, BUT IT IS PERFECTION!

Brad is an INCREDIBLY underrated bassist, aside from his vocals on Blind Melon and Abandon Jalopy, guitar chops, too. He was always my favorite member of Blind Melon. bass on 2x4 and Dumptruck comes to mind right away. just an absolutely SAVAGE rock bassist. Love you Brad. Mercy is one of my fav records ever.

Loved this! She did such a great job on this song. Very talented vocal style. Best version I've heard since the original. BTW Brad Smith, I didn't realize you wrote this song even before the band. You are incredibly humble, which probably applies to the other guys too. I have always appreciated your smooth and perfect background vocals. Shannon probably wasn't the easiest guy to sing back up with because he was always switching things up, but I have never seen you miss a beat. Part of the great chemistry that made Blind Melon unforgettable. This is also my favorite karaoke song ;)

Superfan of this group from Day 1. Also ❤ Travis, who had big shoes to fill, but is so awesome, you can't believe his voice & energy. And, Brad's solo project, Abandon Jalopy, blew me away, every song amazing on the first LP. I've been to >10 concerts of BM, both when( the incredibly gifted) Shannon Hoon was alive, then 6 more with Travis Warren 13 years later. I am a boomer who's seen Many, many great, classic rock bands over 4+ decades, and believe me, these guys are the most innovative, amazing band ever. I literally became a "Melonhead" in my 40's following them around bc they were That Good. " No Rain" and the famous " Bee Girl" video brought them to my attention, but even after Shannon's sad early demise, the remaining members captured my 💗 with their sheer talent and musicianship, not to mention what down to earth great guys they all are. Never, Ever, miss that rare chance to see them live, trust me, it will be one of your most memorable concerts you'll keep remembering 4ever. The death of a bandmate need not be the death of an entire band who are carrying on that legacy- these guys proved that to be the case. The one and only Shannon Hoon would probably be the first to say that, he would be so proud of them today. His daughter sings with them periodically, which also tells you alot. Please keep making great music- "For My Friends" is one of my all-time favorite LP's, and hearing " Hypnotized" sang live by Travis was an experience that hypnotized me, for sure, and won't forget.
