Ok so hear me out. First of all, Tim speech it’s so beautiful, he tries his best to make Lucy’s pain hurt a little less. Also he feels extremely guilty and a part of him thinks that Lucy might resent him, because he is SO mad at himself. So we he says “are you riding with me tomorrow” and Lucy answers “yes, sir”, a wave of relief hits him. That’s why he waited so long to give her back her ring, I mean, he could’ve return it at the hospital or at any other moment, but he hang in to it in case Lucy blamed him and therefore didn’t wanted to keep working with him, this way he kept a little thing of her. And so, when she says “yes” he is ready to let that ring go, because he still has Lucy by his side❤️.

Everyone’s talking about how she knows he saved her but the true love part is that he held onto the ring and didn’t just set it down

Some people can see my scars that I now have on my belly as a sign of me having fallen so deep down I couldn’t get up. But I see my scars as the start of a new life. I've watched this scene a million times, and will probably watch it a million times more. The scene is just so well done; everything about it feels like it just falls into place perfectly. The timed music in the background, the dialogue is so naturally written, the way it's directed, the actors are amazing, and most of all, you can feel the chemistry between Lucy and Tim / Melissa and Eric.

This is honestly one of my favorite Chenford moments. The writers wrote it perfectly, and I love seeing well written scenes because I write myself. This scene shows so much emotion between the both of them, and honestly there faces, especially Lucy's after he gives her the ring back, she realized right there that she was starting to love him, and he already knew that he was starting to love her. I really hope that in season 6 they go back to what happened to Lucy, but with a Chenford moment. Maybe Tim explaining how he felt when he found her in that barrel. I feel like a lot of fans will love a scene like that. I know I would.

I can't imagine being buried alive. One thing that bugs me about that episode is how you see this big hole in the ground before he kicks the barrel into the hole, but you don't see a big pile of dirt to scoop back into the hole. He finishes putting the dirt back in, smooths the ground, but there's no extra dirt for the space the barrel takes up. I would have freaked out worse than she did. I have a huge fear of suffocation, and the one other thing that would terrify me is if the barrel would have gone in upside down. The combination would have killed me for sure.

It's funny how she is more touched and more emotional, more herself with him than with Harper or anybody else... And I like the fact, at the beginning, he was looking elsewhere when we can see the tatoo.

Oh my poor heart can't handle the feels. I love how he turned back around when he was going leave, I love how he was able to get through to her and I love the look of realization when he tossed her the ring. I personally feel like Tim giving it back to her when he did was his way of letting her know he has her back. I don't really think these two should end up together but that's because I feel these two are more like brother and sister than lovers. They annoy each other to no end but when push comes to shove they're always there for one another. If the two of them were to date the writers would likely end up splitting them up and then we would lose the bond they have completely.
