I love your style. This is the first time I have seen the original desgin of the pour stay in tact. I'm going to try to use thicker paints and try it your way. So many times, I see the creation I want, but have to continue getting it poured and lose the design I really like. Thank you for the tips. The paintings are lovely.

I get a lot of my paints at Michaels. You can get Flood Floetrol at Home Depot.

I wanted to ask you...is floetrol the same thing as a poring medium? I'm just getting started with this form of art....and I just want to do it right and get what I need.

Floetrol is not technically a pouring medium but it is used as a pouring medium to thin the paint and generate cells. I use American Flood Floetrol that I buy it at Home Depot. Make sure to shake it up well and strain it before use. I also use Liquitex pouring medium in conjunction with Floetrol. This is a more advanced and expensive formula. If you're just getting started use the Floetrol.

I add floetrol to all my paints, even the soft body. I usually don't add water to the white but the black always needs some.

How much paint do you need for a 12x14 canvas?

It depends on the technique used but for a flip cup style pour I would use 6.5 oz for a 12x14. This does not include the basecoat.

Always get the square inches and divide by 28 and that will give you how many ounces you need for that surface. 12X14=168. Divide that number by 28 which is 6. So you need 6 oz of paint.

Hi there, first time to your channel, thanks for sharing, you have a great set up & you explained thing’s amazingly, both your paintings turned out great but there’s an issue, both paintings are nothing like what your thumbnail is advertising, I clicked on your video in hoping that, that’s what I would’ve seen you create, so I’m actually feeling pretty disappointed, that I’ve been thumbnail baited
