One thing i can say Sachin Tendulkar is not only loved by Indiansm, he was loved by Entire world. Been watching cricket since '95 - Sachin at 23yrs OLD (i had just started working when I was 23) was the highest scorer in 1996 World Cup. 2003 World Cup (7 YEARS later) he was highest scorer and also made 673 runs which is record of most runs in World Cup history 2010 (14 YEARS after 1996 and 2yrs before he retired from white ball cricket) he scored a T20 century, won the IPL orange cap which I never expected Sachin to win as T20 wasn’t his format plus he was old - also he was the FIRST INDIAN BATSMAN to win the IPL orange cap - despite the fact he didn’t play T20 internationals and also was at the END of his career. 2010 he also scored the first ODI double century, 2011 (15YEARS after 1996) again one year before he retired, he was World cup’s 2nd highest leading scorer in the World Cup which we won and was only 10runs less in total runs than Dilshan. - between that he scored 100 centuries in an era where white ball watches avg score was 250 and 300 total looked unchaseable / too daunting.- that’s why he is the GOAT. Unparalleled longevity while holding the highest public expectations burden put on an Indian cricketer.

I still remember the day when Sachin Tendulkar retired and gave his final speech. It was on November 16, 201312 after his 200th Test match. I cried while listening to his goodbye speech. He thanked everyone who supported him throughout his 24-year long career and shared his memories and emotions. He said that his life between 22 yards for 24 years was hard to believe that it had come to an end. He also said that the chant of “Sachin, Sachin” would reverberate in his ears till he stopped breathing. I felt a deep respect for him as a cricketer and a human being. He is a legend not only for India but for the whole world. Respect from Pakistan.❤

I for one is inclined to believe that what prompted Sir Donald to say that “ he ( Sachin) reminds me of my self “ is 1) economy of action: straight to the point as it were... nothing absolutely unnecessary. 2) straight bat. Superb balance, no semblance of a crouch. 3) regal stance. These must have resonated in the heart of the master, Sir Donald Bradman.

Beautiful documentary. I am one of those millions of Indians who lost the interest post his retirement. BCCI received some flak for arranging a series with WI so that Sachin could retire at Mumbai. But people didn't understand that Sachin heroics in 90s brought the crowds to the stadiums & in front of TV and BCCI ended up earning all the money they have. So yes, he thoroughly deserved that fairwell.

*WHY SACHIN IS THE GOD OF CRICKET* Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. He is the all-time leading run-scorer in both Test and One-Day International (ODI) cricket and holds a number of other batting records. He is also one of the most popular sportsmen in the world and is known for his humility and sportsmanship. There are many reasons why Sachin Tendulkar is considered to be the God of Cricket. One reason is his incredible batting statistics. He has scored over 15,000 runs in both Test and ODI cricket and has over 100 centuries in each format. He is also the only player to have scored over 50,000 runs in international cricket. Another reason why Sachin Tendulkar is so popular is his longevity. He made his international debut in 1989 at just 16 and retired in 2013 at 40. He played in over 600 international matches and was consistently one of the best batsmen in the world. Sachin Tendulkar was also known for his versatility. He could score runs quickly or slowly, depending on the game's situation. He was also a very good fielder and was renowned for his athleticism and reflexes. *LONG LIVE SACHIN!!!*

One of the best documentaries I've watched. I had met Coward as a journalist when he had come to India decades ago. He was an iconic cricket writer even then. If he says, "those who have not seen Bradman, were lucky to see Tendulkar play", then it must be true.

The Best Video on both of them...Thank you Abc Australia...I watched cricket because of Tendulkar.. But the best memories and chills came from tour down under...The Australian challenge was the toughest challenge for any batsman...and Tendulkar cherished there the most...Loved your analysis and technicalities in the video...cheers mate..

Being a filmmaker myself.. I just want to say this is by far one of the most beautiful documentary i have ever seen, so perfectly put together and so much life lessons to learn through these two giants of the game.. True Legends.. I wish today's cricketers had even 10 percent of such humility, humble attitude in them and such keen observation of the game.. the understanding that you will always be a student.. Just Wow..

Growing up in India, in my convent school, there was a chapter on cricket and about Sir Don Bradman. What an absolute legend he was. Thank you ABC Australia for making this documentary. It is equally painful that Shane Warne is no longer among us. he left way too early. His death leaves a heartache for us fans who only watched him on TV, so many miles away. No wonder Sachin feels the pain. Much love to all the fellow cricket fans from around the world.

Bradman’s record of 12 double hundreds is still unbroken . As well as 2 Triple tons has only been equalled by Sehwag & Gayle . Another great video on KZfaq about Bradman is “Bodyline “ starring Hugo Weaving which tells the story of that tour . Another interesting fact that when Australian PM visited Nelson Mandela in jail , he was asked by Mandela “ Tell me Prime Minister, is Sir Bradman still alive ?” . Bradman truly was biggest sports star in inter war period.

I first came across the name Bradman in an Australian TV show called Bodyline that aired in India in 1985 when I was 13. So I knew that he was a great enough player to warrant England abandoning all pretence at fair play to beat him. Then when I was 16 in 1988 I read a newspaper list of the top Test run scorers with complete details of matches played, innings, centuries, fifties, runs, averages. Sunil Gavaskar was at the top of that list and after him Border, Richards, Hammond and Bradman. The batting average against his name, I thought, was obviously a misprint. Later in Madras in 1996 I borrowed a biography of Sir Donald, from the British Council Library, and read about his life and career. I felt as though I were reading a fairy tale. Bradman made centuries at the rate that Gavaskar made fifties, and double-centuries at the rate of Gavaskar's centuries. And that unbelievable batting average that I had imagined was a misprint was actually accurate. How on earth did so much talent come to reside in a single man? I read up all I could find on the Don, then on other great batsmen: Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Hammond, Harvey, Hutton, Headley, Barrington, Sobers, Kanhai, Pollock, Chappell, Boycott, Gavaskar, Crowe, Richards, Border, Gooch, Gower... and while all were great, none came closer than half way to Bradman (except the Great Cricketer, WG Grace, for his all-round abilities, development of every facet of the game, organisational skills, character, etc.). My mouth still drops open in wonder when I consider the modern greats, Lara, Sangakkara, Ponting, Tendulkar, Dravid, Williamson, Smith, Root, Kohli, and realise that all their achievements are merely mortal whereas the Don's are stellar. I'm 51 now but , like a schoolboy, I dream that a descendant of the Boy from Bowral, will inherit that astounding talent and reproduce Bradman's mastery across all three formats of the game. If only just for us to view in awe and worship in reverence. Someday.
