I have a beautiful 2 year old son who has beautiful dark brown hair and I'm growing the top of his hair out so I can do this French braid and a man bun. My daughter doesnt let me braid her hair but if I get my son going with it maybe he'll get use to it lol. His dad hates it, idc. If you have Afro hair I think it's ok to keep it that way, but with straight hair it would become messy and greasy in one-two days, so I would do it purposely for a special occasion and then undo it at night. For the undercut, you can do wherever you want, even at home

Afro hair can be kept in a braid for a week given its healthy and you still wash the scalp. You might need multiple smaller braids though. Looser textures will start to look frizzy in a couple of days and should be redone. I personally find my hair braids best and lasts the longest when I'm on second or third day hair. As for where to get it done, barbers tend to be more familiar with different textures in men's hair. I just have curls and most regular places have issues with that.
