I’m glad you pointed out that all the musicians are right there for you to see. Pink Floyd is an honest musical group, just as much as any great Jazz band. And there are no “extra” musicians. No bullshit - just straight-up artistic goodness. 👍🏻

The Dark Side of the Moon album stands out not only for its music, not only for the sound effects, not only for the quality of its production but also for its so well written lyrics. This album is quite simply a masterpiece which obviously was destined to become a classic. And as the Italian writer Italo Calvino said; "A classic is a work that has never finished saying what it has to say". And the lyrics of Dark Side of the Moon certainly haven't finished expressing what they have to convey.

Greetings from Canada. Excellent thinking you two- well said and well done. I'm in. Been a fanatic for Floyd for 50- odd years (I think it was 1968 a local FM DJ smuggled a tape of a Club concert performance out of England) for our evening entertainment. Yeah, I bought Ummagumma the day it came out (their first release in North America). Peace, love and bellbottoms. btw Cat? Kat? Dog? Please tell me your kids are NOT Tom, Jerry, Mickey or Minnie.

4 of us drove about an hour to see the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour. Sensory overload! Still my favorite concert. NOBODY said a word on the drive home. Nothing. It was too amazing to talk about. Wish I could have seen the Pulse tour. It just does something to you, can’t describe.

5 of us drove 4 hrs to see the same tour, 2 of us spent 17 hrs each way on a coach to watch Roger Waters do The Wall in Berlin 90, and 4 of us drove 4 hrs again to watch this tour when it was recorded in 94. I have also seen Roger twice since, again 4 hrs away

I had the chance to see Pink Floyd live 4 times in my life. In 1977 during the "In The Flesh" tour, in 1988 during the "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" tour, then twice in 1994 during the "The Division Bell" tour. I also just bought tickets for the tribute band "The Australian Pink Floyd", who will play the complete "Dark Side of the Moon", to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the album. To end the show they will perform: Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V), Welcome to the Machine, Pigs (Three Different Ones) and Comfortably Numb.

The Australian Pink Floyd is very faithful in its musical reproduction of the work of Pink Floyd. Even though no one can match the original, they put on a good show.

They played this concert in 1994 at the now-demolished Earls Court in London. The venue had a capacity of 80,000. They filled it. Not just on one night ... they filled the venue 14 (yes, fourteen) nights in a row. I saw them 20 years earlier at the same venue in 1974, launching 'Dark Side of the Moon'. History was made there.

Very old Grey here, took three generations of my family to this concert, at the end, they all just looked at me as if to say.....What the fuck have you done to me, and like Stan Green here, silence all the way home.

The first time I saw them in the late 60s they were supporting Hendrix at a small hall in Kent. Tickets were 10/6 (about 50 cents). The last time was at the Earls Court concert run where this was filmed. Went 6 nights out of the 13, and have to say they were the best gigs Ive ever attended. As for hidden musicians I suppose the obvious one was The Rolling Stones co-founder and pianist Ian Stewart. Although removed by the manager in 63 for his looks, remained with the band til his death and was inducted along with the rest of the band into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Pink Floyd has always had those extra players on stage all the way back to 1974 when I saw the Dark Side of the Moon tour. I saw them in 77 for the "In the Flesh" tour when they played all of "Animals" all of "Wish You Were Here" and half of "Dark Side of the Moon" for the encore!! Snowy White was the extra guitarist for that plus two backup singers. Then in 87 for their "Momentary Lapse of Reason" tour they had almost the same group they have for this Pulse tour!! I've seen about a hundred concerts in my life from ACDC to LED Zeppelin and everyone in between alphabetically. I've never seen a better show than Floyd puts on!!! Rodger Waters made the statement during the filming of their Pink Floyd live at Pompeii performance"if they don't like what you do live, they're NOT going to come back"!!!!

I've been a Floydian 50+ years now. Seen them many times, Pulse concert twice. Imo, there's nobody that compares. With Pulse, the music was so all encompassing that we literally felt it for days! Insane amount of talent these guys have!

I have been a Floydian since I first heard their Meddle album in 1972. I totally agree with your commentary. The reason we had big stadium type concerts was we had Bill Graham promoting all these great bands at awesome venues like Winterland, Filmore East and West, The Cow Palace, Oakland Coliseum and many others. Unfortunately, I like you never got to see my favorite band. I also live and breath Pink Floyd and they are my medicine for old age ailments. Loved the reaction!! Anything from the Pulse Concert is just SUPER!!

Hey thanks for the comments man! Yeah we plan on doing a lot of the older stuff, since we're like, old lol! We'll def be doing more from Pulse, as well as a lot of older bands like Supertramp, Genesis, Yes, Deep Purple, Zep, etc. a lotta old school prog & classic rock!

One band that comes to mind with a key player who is off-stage is Iron Maiden, Their keyboard player is always either in the wings or backstage. And NEVER even gets a mention! There many more bands whose names do not come to mind.

The "background" vocalists did a great version of Great Gig in the Sky at the Pulse concert. It's a great example of how they don't hog the spotlight. At the end David is just sitting and watching them sing. True class.

They were remarkable live. It was a once in a lifetime kind of experience. Nothing else could really compare to seeing Floyd. So, have you guys heard the expression rock didn’t die it just moved to Japan 🇯🇵? Well, this old rocker discovered the current Japanese rock and metal scene and you’ll be blown away by it if you haven’t seen it, particularly the all-female bands: Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie, Bridear, Hades, Gacharic Spin and several others, are incredible. Then there is the phenomenon that is BabyMetal. I imagine you’ve heard of them. But the rock band us Maidiacs would love to see you check out is BAND-MAID. Yes, to this old Zeppelin, Floyd, Yes and RUSH fan, the Maids just might be the best rock band on planet earth 🌍 Check out: - “Domination” - official LIVE video - “Dice” - official MV - “Freedom” - official live video - “From Now On” - official MV That’ll be a great start then dozens more this good or better - the Maids are incredibly prolific in writing great songs. Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎼🎸🥁🎤😀✌🏼

C'mon people, as Pink Floyd aficionados why did you select a distorted and garbage rendition of this excellent concert? It is stretched horizontally and sound quality is questionable. The only versions that truly capture this concert are labeled "Pulse Restored and Re-Edited" and found here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q7aen71zm77NfWw.html (Pink Floyd - Brain Damage (PULSE Restored & Re-Edited)) This site has almost all the songs from that concert, and all of the DSOM tunes too. The original was not filmed in 16:9, it was done in 4:3. So when you artificially stretch it to fit 16:9 it gets distorted. The giant of a man of David Gilmour looks like a munchkin, and the ROUND projection screen looks oval. And the sound on the stretched version also sucks.

Really? Out of all that, that's what you took away from it? Were you listening on a KSS 8.8 System with Snell Subs? Sorry the internet didn't live up to your exacting standards.
