Listening to Giovanni is like riding a rollercoaster! It starts with a slow scary intro then thrusts you into a 200 MPH rush ride with so many twists and turns that it leaves you breathless. When it's over, you want to ride it again!

Kanami´s songwriting is not just beyond the planet, or solarsystem, it´s beyond the galaxy and far far beyond! SO creative, unique, versatile, complex and even with that complexity it´s CATCHY as hell! Besides Hans Zimmer, she is the most talented and best songwriter we are listening in our era! BUT without the band, the maids able to play this songs and ALSO adding some of their unique abilities it wouldn´t be the same, so it gets even better. I know a lot of other ppl or fans from other bands think otherwise, but i don´t care... They are the best!

The DVD with Unseen World has instrumentals of After Life, No God, Giovanni and Without Holding Back .. all in this setting and absolutely brilliant

Giovanni is the main character of "Night on the Galactic Railroad", a masterpiece of the famous Japanese novelist Kenji Miyazawa. Kobato Miku wrote the lyrics inspired by this novel. Story: Giovanni, a lonely boy, travels through the galaxy on a train with his best friend Campanella. There is a religious question as to what is truly happiness, a mixture of life and death. It is a very popular work in Japan, and there is also an animation that anthropomorphizes a cat.

The "No God" instrumental is pretty amazing also. MISA has a pretty sick bass solo in that one. Yes, they are all in that white room setting . The instrumentals of Onset, Dice, Domination, After Life, Giovanni, No God, and Without Holding Back all are.

What's even more insane, when Saiki's vocals are added, it becomes more insane...er🤔...er!!!👍👍🤘🤘🤘

when no god instrumental that i listen then this giovanni i was in another dimension with riff she has blown my mind with a jawdropping reaction...i cant remember how many times i listen this with no god instrumental ..... the greatness of them makes me amaze....

Saiki's singing on the live acoustic version of "anemone" that directly follows the acoustic "Puzzle" is very emotional and expressive. Also, Kanami talks a lot just before they play the song, and you can see Saiki trying to get her to stop talking and start playing. It's very endearing.

Ooh you should do both versions. They did this song in their last concert, towards the end of 2+ hour show. Can’t wait to relive it on Blu-ray.

So your brain deactivated after hearing the instrumental version of "Giovanni". Imagine what will happen after you hear the vocal-only version of this song. It's utterly insane. Saiki and Miku are shredding vocally through the whole song. Just look for Band-Maid Giovanni (Vocal Extraction). I'm still trying to recover.

This song does take a few listens to grasp everything going on, but it has become one of my favorites from UW! 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂

The three Goddesses create this controlled chaos and then little Miku writes incredible lyrics to it. It's usually the other way around. That's the brilliance of these incredible musicians. Imagine being given this instrumental and say...ok..write lyrics to this and the pigeon smiles and says PO......😍😍😍

The included Blu-ray of "Unseen World" limited edition includes instrument songs of "Giovanni", "After life", "NO GOD" and "WITH OUT HOLDING BACK". There are performances by each of the four member and all of them, and 20 tracks are recorded. The included Blu-ray of the special edition of "CONQUEROR" contains 15 tracks of instrumental songs of "ON SET", "DICE" and "DOMINATION".

German Reactor Denis Walther is also going through the entire catalog of Band-Maid YT videos in a series called "The Band-Maid Experience" - one per week (it's in English). He's about half way through. I really like his comments and presentation, and he turned into a Band-Maid fan after just one or two videos.

This truly is the soundtrack of the Universe and all within! Genius!

Doing the version of Giovanni with vocals would be cool. It's probably their most prog-ish song. I'm glad they released this version to really appreciate what is going on. Kanami is mixed back a little in the vocal version because Saiki is singing along to Kanami's frantic lead. This song really highlights what I love about Kanami's playing. Many guitarists play fast and it's sounds like a bunch of random notes. Kanami is playing a really cool and catchy melody that just happens to be really fast.

Well, Miku has never just been a 'prop'....she created the band, writes the lyrics, and her vocals have always been integral, but yes, her playing has improved dramatically.....Kanami is a good teacher....

I love seeing the musicianship. I watched the shibuya concert and Saiki actually makes me worry about her health as she absolutely goes full tilt at everything, I want her to preserve her instrument as it complements everyone else so beautifully.

Can't get enough of Kanami's power stances! Her and Midori of LOVEBITES are my favorites as far as power stances go.

MISA MISA MISA!

Yeah their special DVD Instrumentals are pretty sweet. For each song, there are 5 versions. One version focusing entirely on Misa, one on Akane, etc - and then the compilation with all four of them (like here). It's why sometimes you can see when switching from full-band to single person it doesn't quite match; it's because they are cutting in that segment from their solo view. But it allows you to singularly focus on watching whomever you want for the entirety of the performance. And they don't jump or move around either. So if you are trying to learn a part - it's perfect.

I think I'm back in the 70's listening to YES, in a Metallica kinda way. This is PROG Rock if I ever heard it. These girls do it ALL, covering all genre's and many times they perform them all on one tune, with Kanami's song writing allowing it to blend like whiskey and ice, that's why I love watching reactors try and pin a musical genre on them, emphasis on TRY.....Phenomenal! When you run out of music videos to do, let us know and we'll recommend killer tunes that have no videos.....I'm sure we Maidiacs can come up with a few.

They pay for expensive videos but can't afford to make every one a movie theater type. At least they are showing them playing on all tracks that didn't have a slick ad in its place.

Anyone cares to explain how does this song work both with and without the vocals, and moreover, works differently with vocal than without vocals? That's not normal. I have the DVD. Yes all 4 instrumentals are shot in this white room. And you get focus cameras on each member. You can watch one of them play for the whole song if you want.

I could never be a reactor for Band-Maid. I'd cheat and listen to all the songs 10-20 times before my broadcast. I'd be more like Vlad, and do some analysis. But I couldn't wait. I don't see how reactors who really appreciate and want to hear the best music do it. My cap is off to you reactors. Now back to more B-M!

While i really like the full song with vocals, I can appreciate the instrumentals on this song a bit better not being drowned out by the relentless vocals on this song. Also to note on the stage format on these bluray releases. the Bluray allows you to play the video as you see it or switch to individual band member to focus on what they're playing, think the White stage makes it easier to do that kind of thing.

but you can feel, that this song was written with vocals in mind...

This song doesn't work for me. It has grown on me since UW dropped but it is still a song with an identity crisis. It tries too hard to be a prog song and doesn't feel natural. It DOES sound better without the vox though. It makes more sense to my ears.

This strikes me as odd.....most of the adulation for this band, these written comments, all read and sound very similar. ALMOST as though they were written by the same person....and unusual grammatical errors by people with English-speaking-sounding names. Claims that can’t be taken seriously - LOTS OF THEM. I looked up a name or two online, and can find no evidence that they actually exist. BeenVerified, Twitter, Facebook- that’s very strange. Now who would do that ? The same puppet-masters pumping music into the speakers at live shows for these musicians to strum their guitars to ? For money? Gross. If true, GROSS. The only thing they can’t manipulate? The music really isn’t very good. You aren’t fooling anyone. Go make an honest living - you’ll feel better.
