Holy crap, thanks so much. I had my right front brake caliper POP OFF of my 82’ sabre at some point during my ride tonight, hanging on by the brake line… the bolt had rattled loose because the previous owner hadnt locktite’d it. Was jammed and took it half apart but at that point mosquitos were in full force. Gonna get back to it tomorrow thanks to you 🤙

Slowly working back through the playlist for a second time . I have found that over the years no matter how clean you get the calipers it always pays to have a good scrape on the seal seatings there's always 1 bit of crud that sticks in there not letting you just slip the cylinder back in with ease . Also if the piston is stuck rather than used grips i have used a Rawl bolt fitting the type of fitting that hold fences and big heavy shit up with .. use the ones that have 3 outside fingers and the tapered section on the end of the bolt .. as it tightens it expands grabbing the inside of the piston . And I'm amazed the bleed nipples came undone and not snapped .. cheers
