Brand New Fantic Caballero 700 First Impressions & Sound...

In this video I headed up to Midwest Moto and by chance they had just un-crated a brand new Fantic Cabellero 700, so I asked if I could film a quick first impressions video. I really liked the 450cc version of this bike with it's 40hp single, this I see as an upgrade in power as most of the really stylish parts have carried over from the smaller capacity machine. I am going to test ride this bike soon and get a feel for her out on the road. The only thing perhaps is the price at £9699 OTR, but having seen this bike up close it is likely worth the investment!

Love the sound that exhaust makes, I have a Yahama Tracer 7 with the same CP2 engine, but my exhaust note isn't half as sweet as this sounds. Great walk around video, thanks for sharing

Good looking bike. Exhaust sounds great. Weight is likewise. Should handle well. Looking forward to seeing the test ride.

I was eagerly waiting for that bike and i am not disappointed but now hoping they'll update the 500 rally to keep it competitive with the triumph 400X and new Himalayan as it's really the off road bias i am keen on.

I like the 500. 450cc really and my favourie in the 350 to 450cc single cylinder category. In the bigger category, I'd rather have the XSR700. Comparing the two Fantics, I'd rather have have the dash on the cheaper bike. And both could do with tubeless tyres. Nick J

Because it's mostly a Yamaha (frame looks similar at the front),there will be a lot of parts that will be interchangeable, like cruise control (£660),sumpguard, Arrows headers, etc....and,before they start,tubeless is available at £130 per wheel...shame it's not 17litres like the Tracer7, i'd go touring on that!

I think cruise is hard to retrofit even to the same bike as it requires a manufacturer ECU update even when saying the same manufacturer, not saying it couldn't be done but I imagine hard. Yes it also appeals to me to tour on a non-touring bike, it's nice to go back to basics!

@@MindfulMotorcyclist Same engine, same throttle bodies, and it's not fly-by-wire...there's a CP2 /McCruise video on here...I'm probably fitting one to a Tracer7

Well I'm unlikely to post a top speed video, got to be 120mph+. There's too many internet policemen these days, you should have seen the reaction when I took my one hand off the bars 😂

@@MindfulMotorcyclistYou're right there...after watching the 'Motorbike Show' with Henry Cole,I realised I actually held the World's fastest pillion record (unofficially),Kingston Bridge, Glasgow - The Gyle,Edinburgh in under 15mins, speedo hit 192mph,and that's all I'm saying 😂😂

Its probably me being old fashioned,,but I dislike the front mudguard,,and the exhaust has a look of Delkevic about it(not in a nice way).. The price seems abit spendy,,,on the other hand with it having a Yam motor its likey to hold its value better.

Yes it's strong money at £9.7k if it had come in a grand cheaper then it be a little easier to accept. However it does compare well spec wise to Triumph, Ducati and Yamaha. I guess when I get to ride it I'll have a more informed opinion of whether it's worth it...

Fantic build and attention to detail will be much higher than CL500. Also 47bhp up to 72 for the Fantic is a big jump up in performance...

Well the CL is what £5-6,000? The Fantic is £9,699. I think the parts and machining is nicer than the Honda which is built to a price but will the Honda last longer and be in better shape 10 years down the line? Maybe 🤔

Hi Roger, thanks for the comment, I didn't take it off road but I don't think that is its primary purpose no. The ground clearance is low and the suspension is firm...
