Note regarding Golden Swordsoul: It's ability to summon Quem or Cartesia triggers if it's on the field or GY and a card is banished face-up. Super synergistic, but didn't mention that exactly like that in the video. Hail Swordsoul!

I suggest 2 quem also i have been playing chaos archfiend the synchro which is a level 8. You can use aluber merc as dark monsters, cartessia ecclesia or quem as the light tuner. One great combo i do is high spirits and albaz/albion and a bystial = dis pater, grangoinol, chaos archfiend with albion and gimmick in grave to setup expulsion at end phase.

@@aaronking2754 this deck cannot synchro summon unless it uses the trap , which can only use dragon monsters (or granguignol for luluwalilith )

@@Bubbsmc it can with bystial, cartesia, ecclessia, and quem. Opening locks for "the rest of the turn. Branded fusion only lets you fusion during the turn, but there are 100% synchro lines. I can setup 3 symchros with the combo i mentioned above turn 1. Chaos angel is one of my favorite synchros i go into as well to out floodgates like birth or antispell

@@aaronking2754 chaos archfiend Is a level 8 you cannot summon it in branded are u taking about chaos angel ? If so what are you on the deck is trash If you don't get to fusion monsters you may as well play super heavy samurai at that point

@@Bubbsmc Yeah I'll rexplain the line so this will get a little long. Your starting hand is albion/albaz, high spirits, and any bystial. You begin your turn by activating high spirits during draw phase sending albion/albaz from hand to foolish albion fusion for expulsionn, and setting up the cartessia special requirement, searching quem. Next, you go main phase and activate quem sending merc. Following that you activate bystial to banish merc search cartesia. Now that you have a level 6 bystial on board and quem with albaz name in grave and albion fusion you can special your cartesia then synchro summon that and the level 6 bystial. Upon summon of dis pater quem effect will special back cartesia. Use dis pater effect to special back merc. Now at this point you can use cartesia and any dark or light in your hand to make granginol send nightmare. quem stil being a tuner you can synchro quem and merc both level 4 light tuner and 4 dark effect monster to make chaos archfiend. At this point you have grang and chaos archfiend to float if you get nibbed and nightmare lock setup.

This might be for Locals for the most part but I still think that it's good to take it account for the next Albaz lore part, with Aluber, Quem and Cartesia being Tuners there's a high chance the archetype focuses more on Synchros later

If you are only using lulu as a way to get to quem, titaniclad is another option so you can still get into lulu naturally. Btw cartesia does not require using her for the fusion, so if you had another monster in hand you could fuse the aluber into quaeritis, leaving her and lubellion on field for a lulu next turn.

This Build gets only better after DUNE I tried it myself A LOT at locals (it's identical except for the golden swordsoul, i decided to play 2 Quem cause for some reason at my local they respect her a bit too much so playing the second copy came in handy a lot of times) and the only problem I saw is that even if you play 8 ways to get to bystials it's still not enough to consistently make your synchro 10 plays, cause you know, good synchro 12 that are easy to summon doesn't exists BUT in DUNE the crimson dragon gets released, and it's a synchro 12 (1 tuner + 1 non turner) that has the effect of bouncing a synchro monster we control into the extra to summon a dragon synchro monster with the same level of the synchro bounced And oh, take a look at that, lulu is a 12 that enter FOR FREE thanks to Granny, and can get bounced back to summon King Calamity (the turn skip lvl 12 synchro that became famous thanks to PUNK)

I can't wait for the extra branded support and bystials to come to Master Duel so I can make this deck there. Not only does it look like a ton of fun but it also means we can get the Ritual/Synchro/Xyz daily mission and the Fusion/Pendulum/Link daily mission done with the same deck! And it's still strong enough to play against a lot of meta

I think baron might work pretty well. Negate on your turn, protect from some type of interaction. Then tag out, bring a tuner or bystial back and etude syncro again. Assuming you’ll have the other monster which it seems you should as you can pick what to bring back.

You can also syncro summon Buster dragon out then contact fuse with albaz and your entire opponents field to make Alba Lenatus

Been playing Branded for a while but didn't really think about High Spirits with high Bystial count, saw some TCGs with it but didn't think much of it, this definitely make it look better

Very cool build, although I would use a copy of Branded in white as well to make the classic combo of early Photon Hypernova. 4:55 Also, you can send only the fusion monster to the GY. If you don't need to add a card with "Fallen of Albaz" in the text you can keep the revealed monster. 12:59 I think it's better to send Titankland, so, you can use the second effect of Grandguignol to summon Luluwalilith as another interruption (if you can trigger it, of course).

last time I was thinking of using destrudo by foolishing it with granguignol's effect, to activate the effect of destrudo (pay half HP) in GY targeting a lvl 4 on field so that you can synchro summon psychic end punisher during your opponent's turn using destrudo ( which is a lvl 3 at this point) and granguignol but the bigest drawback of this is obviously the time rule in game 3 and also the fact that kaiju's or very popular lately...

Hey Galzo, a while back when they first announced Etude I was testing out sending Destrudo with Guignol and with any level 4 body it creates a Level 3 Tuner and this + any of our level 8's gives us a Psyhic End Punisher (w/ 4K life points from using Destrudo to ensure its unaffected and also can OTK next turn w/ 7500 attack if they try to battle on our turn). Seems like a really cool option to have both a Mirrorjade or other boss monster paired you with an unaffected PEP. Have you tried that at all? Was super fun in my teeting but haven't had a chance to test it out at locals yet.

I think etude is meant for a bystial snychro deck that had many ways to acces lubellion and go for that (more dragon link oriented, less branded)

Yeah it’s honestly not bad and I do like the thought of bringing syncros into the deck but your right I feel like it needs to be one’s meant for it type of thing but I like having another option then just fusion summoning only because of barrier or non fusion. Just gives us other options and fun to play around with. But agreed, at the moment branded despia is not broken so don’t fix it. Can it use some spice…yes and will this build be better once bystials can be better utilized again…yes! So I’m sure this type of build will be coming back sooner rather then later

Add a branded regained, and a few swordsoul synchros and you'll be popping synchos like crazy. dis pater can special summon a light or dark monster. So get the synchro materials you need on the field or graveyard, SS a bystial monster banish a monster you need for material, then active the supreme effect, banish a bunch of shit, activate dis pater, SS whatever you need to create a synchro and let Etude do it's thing.

Interesting! So would you also run a small swordsoul package in there as well or just Chengying? BTW what other SS synchros would work? Are you just talking about Chengying + BDF as the "Swordsoul synchros"? Cuz every other Synchro they have requires a non Tuner wyrm except for maybe Draco Berserker.

@@Vandylizer For now just supreme Chengyang. Once I find a way to SS the lvl 6 swordsoul wyrm monster from the GY, I can easily make Sinister by having Dusk Dragon send the lvl 6 wyrm to GY. I wrote the last msg during my break so i skipped a few steps, my bad. So If i can find a good lvl 6 wyrm, the play would be ° Activate Regained ° SS Incredible Ecclesia ° Normal Quem - activate ° Cartesia in GY ° Banish Cartesia, SS Bystial Saronir from hand. ° Synchro Dis Pater with Ecclesia ° send Branded in high spirit frm Deck to GY ° SS Cartesia from Ban zone ° Fusion Dusk Dragon ° send Albion the branded to GY ° SS Ecclesia from GY through quem ° tribute Ecclesia, SS Strategist wyrm from Deck ° syncho Sinister with Quem/wyrm ° end phase, set Edtude, and Cartesia and Ecclesia goes back to hand ° Let the backrow and Sinister do the work on Opponents turn and etude will work it's magic

@westwing23 Hm you know that seems like a lot of work trying to get Longyuan out when he can normally just summon his token if you summon him from hand. An easier approach might just be to use the *other* Level 6 Wyrm which is Longyuan's pet, Auspice Chunjun. You can tribute any monster to summon it from the hand to get your level 6 body. But yeah I'll tinker around a bit with Branded Swordsoul and see if there's anything cool I find. I know Swordsoul players are pumped about Apple Dragon too so I'll probably see if that and Destrudo and Golden Swordsoul have any synergies as Tuners. I've already had a lot of fun getting out Destrudo for an easy Psychic End Punisher set up, who knows what these other Tuners might add to the mix.

I just threw Luluwalillith and Sanctifire in my Branded build since etude came out. I side in some Bystials and if I really feel spicy I'll side in Dis Pater.

Having played this, almost every situation you would want baronne or even dragoon, dis pater was just a better alternative. The card is just so strong this format and chaos angel is just such a strong supportive synchro

The thing you touched on that I agree with the most is that you can 💯 play Etude in the traditional Branded build. It’s basically GGs against Super Heavy, Dragon Link, any Cyberse deck, and it slows down most decks that aren’t specifically XYZ-based. It also can’t be Ogred unless you try to Synchro.

Odd request. Think you can make a branded deck that does not use aluber and tragedy? I am interested in getting totally away from despia if it is at all possible. Dunno if it is as tragedy and aluber is your in for getting branded fusion.

@@galzo Trying to find alternative plays to getting away from them and seeing if doing just the Branded cards is viable. Yes I know Aluber searches just about everything, but the Despia portion of Branded Despia's been slowly wiped away. The only viable cards most people use now is aluber, a tragedy...and that's really it. If there is no real better option than Aluber that's fine.

@@captainphoenixjones Yes, you can use Keeper of dragon magic( not sure if that is the name, but the card is in the structure deck as well) in replacement of Aluber. Kid is another alternative and again it is in the deck.
