My father did me and my siblings the same way. Never took care of the 3 bio kids but took care of his new wife’s 6 kids for over 20 years. But when she died, those kids left his ass IMMEDIATELY! I believe this story, I had a former co-worker who grew up around the twins in Ohio, she said Steve would come to visit them “sometimes” but not often and that they really didn’t have a relationship with him until he started making money and becoming a little more famous. Most people wouldn’t know that Lori was not his child unless u followed them from the beginning. He loves Lori so much because she “looks” the part, the twins were never the most attractive girls at all, they look like a female version of him, people can deny it but some people/parents favor who they perceive as their “best looking” kids for their own personal reasons. Lori is the pretty daughter that Steve also secretly wanted, that’s the reality.

I've always found it amusingly ironic bc it's long been common knowledge that he abandoned his 1st family & 1st wife & cheated on her with the 2nd wife before cheating on the second wife with the 3rd wife. Yet, THIS is the person ppl are taking advice from on maintaining healthy romantic & family unions. What a joke.

The reality is SOME men will treat their children based on how he feels about the mother. If the relationship fail/ fall out of love with the mother the attention towards the children disappear, having children by a man of integrity & character is your best bet or don’t have any at all.

Steve always likes what he considers pretty people, so he loves Marjorie's kids because they are "pretty" like their mama.

This resonates with me so deeply. I’m the oldest of my fathers children/stepchildren. My mother divorced him after he fathered a child while married to her. The baby was born 10 months after me and he named the baby the EXACT same name as me lol. He moved to another state and went no contact with me for years at a time. I remember my mother forcing me to call him and he wouldn’t answer. After a certain age I think she saw how upset it made me and stopped. The last time we spoke was my middle school graduation in 2010. The next time he contacted me was on Facebook messenger in 2022. Next thing I know his other children/stepchildren and current wife are all sending requests and messaging me. They are a beautiful family and although I decided I don’t want him (or any extension of him) to be apart of my life years ago, I’m happy that he was able to be there for his children. He left his number and I gave it to my mother who I felt like needed closure from that situation. She called and said he cried from the moment he heard her voice to the time they hung up the phone. I truly pray he finds peace with me not being apart of his life because I did a decade ago.

Smh my dad was just like this. Only thing is, is that I lived with them in the basement. He divorced my mom for his mistress after she lied about her daughter being his. Which later we found out she wasn’t and that situation crumbled. Then he met my stepmom and at first she acted like she loved us but once she got in good and they got married then things quickly went left. She had a daughter who was beautiful and my dad and step mom favored her and treated her wayyyy better. Only thing that kept me cool is that while being with my dad, my mom was still very active in my life so when I was with her she made sure I had what I needed and sometimes the things that I wanted. Moving forward I ended up moving out and going to live with my oldest sister. Meanwhile, my dad remained with my step mom until he developed cancer which took him out in 3 years after many failed chemotherapy attempts. My dad left me and my other 2 sisters from a different mom 5k out of his 500,000 life insurance policy. The rest was hers and the treatment became worse! Shortly after my dad passed she hooked up with one of his old coworkers/friend. He helped her blow through all my dads money and left her when it was gone! She is now overweight with a knee that doesn’t work, she doesn’t have anything to show for herself but the raggedy house she brought. She has none of the cars, boats, or motorcycles he left her. She begged me to help her buy my little brother a car. She has just gone downhill. My dad passed away the day after my 20th birthday. I am now heading towards 33 years old. So my birthday’s are nightmares in a sense. Steve Harvey will get his Karma ONE DAY and so will his wife Majorie…..it might not be today but give it time.

I didn't have my biological father until I was 17 but we had a very short reunion. The following year six days after my 18th birthday,he was DOA of a heroin overdose at age 42. I have never ever forgiven my mom for not telling me who he was and my late kid brother had another biological father as well. I believe that he married them because it was convenient for him considering it did take him almost 15 years to really make it. And Marjorie did have a lot of drug money from her two husbands. And by the way the rumor was back in the early 2000’s was that Marjorie first husband went to jail after they had a daughter, and he got life. Well she divorced him and married her second husband and after they had a daughter he too was sent to prison for life. But the kicker is that both of her husbands were related being first cousins. So her daughters are second cousins and siblings. The rumors also said right after the second husband went to prison her and Steve started sneaking around together while he was still married to his second wife. And then divorced her and Married Marjorie right away. Rumors also said Marjorie was the Queen Bee of the business. Those was the rumors back then. And Steve never spoke of his biological children much at all.

Thanks for the update. Nothing has changed with that blended family. Steve is still a rich Dead Beat Dad. Lorrie's father is not anonymous but it's complicated. Allegedly, Marjorie, was sleeping with two cousins. Two children are fathered by the first cousin. While he was in prison, Lorrie was fathered by the second cousin. So, Lorrie's siblings are also her first cousins. She can thank her Mom, Marjorie for the cross breeding. In my opinion, the reason Marjorie wanted Steve to adopt Lorrie is to give her "legitimacy, respectability and a financial inheritance."

Everyone would love to have the perfect balance when it comes down to your parent's love and nurturing. Steve obviously was not prepared to commit to the duties of fatherhood while with his biological children's mothers or perhaps even before his financial success. With the exception of Mary, the other mothers had the responsibility of raising their children without Steve. The same as Marjorie, raising her children without their biological fathers. Where the issue lies with Steve's children is the absence of his love and attentiveness, and perhaps the way he treated their mothers, leaving his biological children's mothers with the physical and emotional responsibilities of raising their children. Marjorie is doing what most women would do to gain security, using her influence over her man to insure her and her children's welfare is secured. Steve, may not have come out of his trance to realize what adverse emotional impact his actions were creating on his biological children. Lori did have a father figure. Her father was super present. Even when we got incarcerated he tried to be there, but Marjorie got in a relationship with Steve and left Darnell in the dust. He took great care of Lori, Marjorie, Morgan, and JT.

There were stories put out that Steve Harvey allegedly cheated on every wife that he had. Also, it is said that Marjorie Harvey has been in the picture since he was dating the woman who was going to write a tell-all book about her dating Steve Harvey. The woman said she was dating Steve, he went behind her back and married his second wife. After she found out Steve talked her into sticking around. Basically, she was the main one turned into a sidechick. One of the things the lady alleged was that Marjorie started snooping around and contacted her under the guise of business. Even had lunch with the lady. The second ex-wife stated that Marjorie started doing her the same way. Was calling Steve and the second wife's house acting like she was looking for Steve for business purposes. It was said that they had an apartment in New York, and eventually Steve never came home, basically had his stuff moved. Then, once he was ready to file for divorce, the ex wife alleges they used the same attorney. Which sounds like a conflict of interest. So, of course, Steve was the one with the money, so they fleeced the ex-wife. Left her with nothing and got primary custody of the child. There have been a lot of stories about Steve. So when he gives advice on marriage and dating, I just look at him.

Unfortunately mens love for the children flows through the woman. Also, he was securing his career when he was younger so there was less time and money to raise children. Marjorie came along when his money and act right was on point. Women should take lessons.

I became her second mom to this day I still see her from time too time I helped her finish high school she became a teen mom at 16 but we make it through I helped her start her career as a Dental assistant and supported her throughout her schooling as well she is my child from a different mom and dad. She's not my stepchild. She's my daughter. I now have 4 daughters and 9 grandchildren. The love of God helps us with all things. Amen
