what's weird is that this is the THIRD Bigfoot movie i've seen about a teacher taking his students on an expedition in the woods filled with flashbacks and stories about the creature, after "The Curse Of Bigfoot" (which had the pacing and production value of "Things") and "Boggy Creek II: And The Legend Continues" (which even has the same climax of the Bigfoot laying siege to a house, though in that case it was to rescue its child rather than avenge its death)

Brandon mentioned “The Curse of Bigfoot” in his first “worst movies he’s reviewed” list video. I’m pretty sure that he feels that the Cinema Snob took it down too effectively for him to bother reviewing it himself, but according to the way he describes it, it appears to share a lot of DNA with “Bigfoot,” which Brandon _did_ review.

When I was younger, about the age of 7 I had a tendency to go to the bathroom wherever I was because I was a guy. I figured "hey, I can just /go/' Well, my mom was understandably upset at me and I never thought much of it because I was a kid an just came to the knowledge of being able to just stand wherever. My uncle gave me this movie to watch. Needless to say I never went to the bathroom ever again anywhere other than my own bathroom at home.

I remember talking to a friend in class about a movie we both saw over the weekend, "Night of the Demon". Things got confusing as the one I saw was in black and white and involved a big demon killing people who had been given a piece of paper. my friend saw this movie. Personally, having seen both, I'd say the black and white one was way better (it's also about an actual demon, was made in 1957).

@@josephyu1527 I guess adding the actual demon made the story less "is there one or isn't there one". The deaths themselves could (from memory) always be explained away as something else (the electrical cables, the train hitting the guy at the end). To me, both are ok but they do change what the movie is showing. On one hand "yes, there is a demon" and on the other "is there one, really, could it not be just natural causes and hysteria". One of my all time favorite movies.

So, Professor Nugent tells story after story of people being brutally murdered by Bigfoot...and his students are like, "Great! Let's keep looking for it! We'll follow you (to our doom), professor! Yeah!" That doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, Bigfoot just straight up murders the people he encounters...until he gets to the two girl scouts...then, he kind of plays a game with them by making them stab themselves (instead of just dismembering them)...this is followed by the line, "Bigfoot isn't playing games anymore." Seems like the opposite is true: now he IS playing games.
@pedrovallefin8406
@pedrovallefin8406 2 жыл бұрын
Its like Brandon said, it was all natural selection. Its not Bigfoots fault that Nugent and his students have no self-preservation instinct whatsoever. And yeah, Bigfoot wasnt playing games anymore. He played that one game, no more. Professor Nugent profetic sight is no joke. Hell, he knew everyone (BUT him) was gonna die, thats why he keep going. Clearly he hated everyone in his class. Honestly, who cant blame him? They may just be the most boring group of people i ever seem. Nugent leading them to their doom is for the betterement of mankind.

Technically, they kinda spoil that already with the opening scene, because if anyone else was alive, the police wouldn't have had to question the Professor solely, and would have indicated that there were other survivors. Oh Bugger. I was genuinely expecting the 1957 Dana Andrews Film. (based on the excellent "Casting The Runes" story by M R James). However, all is not lost. I am going to enjoy Brandon's genius, sarcastic analysis of what looks like a Bag of Wank 1980s Slasher.

Night of the Demon is one of the most unique slasher horror movies ever made. It’s Bigfoot going around killing unexpected campers in a very creative and also extreme ways. One killing scene I’ll never forget is the one where a biker got his Johnson yanked out. That alone is what I call cinematic masterpiece.
