Tell your mom to travel to you when/if she needs assistance and family close by. You gotta let your kids fly the coop, can't expect them to live with you forever. My grandma spent her teenage years and young adulthood taking care of her mom (on a farm) with MS while her sisters got married, went to university, started their own lives. Eventually she realized, though she loved her mother dearly, she needed to start her own life too (she had met my grandpa at this point so that probably had something to do with it 😛). Her parents hired a neighbor to help them out with cooking and cleaning, taking care of her mother, and it all worked out. They didn't hold it against her. Anyways now my grandma is over 90 and has recently moved from her house in BC to a nice apartment near her daughter, my aunt, in Alberta. My aunt is more than happy having her mom close by and doesn't mind helping my grandma with anything she needs. I'm telling you this to show you what a functional, normal family is like :P Fly the coop! It will be hard at first, you might feel guilty, but just know that this is how it's supposed to be. Young people need to start their own lives.

Honestly for some reason I think his parents would hurt Julia if she was to get him away from them it’s very textbook….strange possessiveness. There’s a sad story of a woman who was in fierce custody battle over her son in the 80’s and the ex husbands family lured her to a farm and killed her and burned her body. Her bone fragments and a button off of her jeans helped solved her murder years after the fact. The son was also in on it so they would get custody of the son and an insurance payout. 😢

If they have a farm, yet they got themselves regular JOBS; most likely the farm doesn't make them a decent amount of money. There is a good chance all those animals bring more problems than income. And they had to get a girl from another country to look after them instead of hiring a labourer? I'm pretty sure the farm doesn't yield much profit, which is why they can't hire anyone; but they must be too stubborn to admit it. Ohhhh, I wish Julia asked them for cash flow statements, balance sheets and other accounting things! Once I'd be done with them, they'd sell the farm and let poor Julia get a job too, looool.

They don't own the farm, it's their extended families farm they just work it (that's the rumor st least)

So him moving out and making his own family is her losing her son? Wow, that's a super dramatic take. Kids are supposed to grow up and move out, lol.

She needs to RUN! There is something VERY creepy about this entire family! My skin is crawling! If you weren’t so funny I wouldn’t have made it through this because it is incredibly disturbing to me! Omg had to edit bc this mother is a next level narcissist at the very least; the fake crying was extremely disturbing!

Okay feel kinda of sorry for brandon, he seemed to have lead a very sheltered life and his parents dont seem to treat him as an adult. I dont know why these type of parents expect their children to grow if they never give them any room to be their own person. Also they set brandon up because they are worried about him never finding a girlfriend but when he does, it's how come you dont spend time with your family. Like maybe he wants to get to know the women, he flew out from Russia.

Oh God, the control! The co-dependency in that household! This is so sad, this seemed like the first genuine connection on one of these shows I've seen, I feel horrible for Julia.

She's a beautiful girl. He's an average looking dude and she actually seems to like him. That boy seems very naive. He doesn't know the odds he beat. He needs to get this girl the hell out of his parents' house ASAP.

What did his parents expect? They wanted him to get a girlfriend but they didn’t want him to leave with her and start a life? What sense does that make? They want him to grow up but don’t want him to leave.
