Very sad, my parents are native, my mother is Cherokee and my dad is Lakota, it's sad how people kill others, we are all people living in the same world, I wish people will set their differences aside and love and respect eachother

As i look to the seven winds You could see the clouds rolling across the sky as the day started to rain teardrops of blood across the land lost in their visions of doubt buried in their pain white man had all the say we were left to taciturn as we watched everything burn and the heavens cried on the trail of tears On some beaten shore we watched the ships come in one by one, our land wore thin we could just watch with closed eyes as the promises made were just lies they said you don't belong here anymore behind their mask, they wore a disguise and the heavens cried on the trail of tears Blood spilled on our sacred ground leaving a unwanted stain where mighty warriors once made a stand we never could walk hand in hand when they lived by so much greed we watched our people fall thousands must bleed still all we could do is try and the heavens cried on the trail of tears Guided by the spirit wind we held on to our pride something they could'nt take away as so many died through our darkest years and the heavens cried on the trail of tears trail of sorrow tears of blood from Heaven my ancestors still weep. ~~~Jack Crow~~~

In my German class, we talked about how the Holocast and the Trail of Tears were horrible events in human history. My German teacher also said how it's important that we admit to these events because admitting the truth is the honorable thing to do. Good job, sir, for making this peice that reminds us for our mistakes.

If you want to live a somewhat decent existence, don't lament over things that cannot be changed. The Trail of Tears was an atrocity, but it was a long time ago. No one is asking anyone to forget...but we have to look to the future.

I understand the comment and by rights America should never have been raped by greed and blood but it is in the past and those people have gone, and it is a good ideal to work towards a better future, but I live now and I believe that's where change for the better more harmonious change starts. We all see it in our own way so it's not a criticism just my way of seeing it. Hope you are well, take care, Blessed be

Still go through. Under this colonial system. America isn’t a country it’s a caliphate of rulers who don’t belong on the land. Only when they are removed can this once again be called a nation a nation of the first peoples.

Beautiful and sad theme. The Trail of Tears is undoubtely one of the most tragic event of American history. I have even read one day the testimony of one soldier who wrote that it was the most cruel task he ever did, despite being involved in many battles before. Thanks for this tune that honours the memory of this people.

The oppression of any nation is a disgrace, there are many who have suffered at the hands of the powerful and the history hidden away..... all that can be done is to make people aware of what has been done in the past and what continues today, most importantly, never let it be forgotten.

I'm white, and I don't feel guilty, because there's nothing I can do to fix the past. However, this is powerful, and I hate what the Europeans did, to take this country over. It's horrible, and look at what we've done with this land, with so much potential to be absolutely breathtaking. Respect to the Blackfoot tribes of Montana, and the Ute tribes of Colorado and Utah, these are the groups I have ties with.

I see some Comments here about "what the white man did" or "what would this land be like if they hadn't" I for one trace my ancestry from both the Ojibwe and Cree tribes, as well as Europeans (Celt, Norman, Anglo-Saxon) and personally I say it's pointless to argue over such things, cuz there is nothing we can do about it, what happened, happened. What matters is what we choose to do now, will we continue to spark the flames of old grudges? Or will we move forward? My great grandmother (who was full blood native and a Medicine Woman) told me one thing before she died, "Once, the Buffalo where many, wild and free, now they are gone, once my people where many, free people, now they are not. All things in this world come to an end, but where one ends another begins, the endless cycle of our world, just as the Great Spirit intended it to be"

Chase Colgan Its good to move on, my only problem personally is that you guys are such a small minority that you guys didn’t even get citizenship until ether after or during WWII. It just seems unfair since you guys were here first. I only wish that some of your people helped control and lead America with the white people.

TheWrenikAdventure Thanks for that great description about the Trail of Tears! Yes, it was definitely a terrible time for the Indians and I feel really bad for them. I'm glad you enjoyed the music. :-)

This one girl I work with is a descendant of one of the survives of this, and her ancestor was only 5 during The Trail of Tears. How did she survive? A solder hid her in a pickle barrow knowing she wouldn't survive.

After listening, I started to wonder if the modern life of the Native Americans is going well, and whether they will be bullied. If there is, I can help call it back. It doesn't matter if the other party bleeds.

As an optimist, I definitely think those two people at the beginning made it ... they just had a hard struggle to survive, but they made it. :)

Brandon Fiechter Yes but what life is that? Led to an reservation, without any rights in their own country and all that from some newcomers who they heard countless times pounding their chests about liberty, freedom and life? Seems those "Universal, God given" rights don't extend the "Redskins".

Jovan Mitrić Yes, I suppose it wasn't much of a life. It was definitely a tragedy what happened to them and I hope it is never repeated again.
