Cassandra please search for a good private holistic doctor who checks your *intracellular intoxication* plus a huge full nurtient-, hormon- and neutransmitter-status. Since decades humans are more and more poised through our daily products we use. Be it cosmetic, be it food, be it cloth, be it water, be it funiture,...etc. and the last 15 years even in nano size. On top our food habbits and the quality of food has fallen dramatically thanks to modernised mass farming and the body is in deficiency. This is one of the main reasons autoimmun and hormon diseases and some other illnesses are exploding so much.

Cassandra, I've commented this before, but you really need to look into hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome and it's mast cell activation comorbidities like atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, cystic acne, dermatographia, and food/chemical sensitivity. Especially since PFAS (specifically PFOA in AFFF from the wildfire extinguisher) are in high counts in CA. Also cause mast cell/ eosinophil/ Basophil disease like asthma and food allergies. EDS is considered "very rare" but the form called hypermobile EDS (previously type 3) and it's equivalent called hypermobility spectrum disorder is thought to be as common as 1 in 33 in some places..but rarely diagnosed. It's also known to come with RA and periodontal presentation like yours, as well as your gynecological type irregularities, single kidney, and hashimoto's in addition to those as you made a video about years ago. It's a common trait of models. 😬 you, James, and Hyrum are the only reason I don't have active rash or cigarette paper/ atrophic scarring coating my arms anymore. I had a three year old, severely widespread rash across my arms from infection and EDS, and it's almost healed after just starting your guys' tips in just the past two months.

I also have H-EDS, along with Hashimotos, SIBO, and histamine issues (no MCAS diagnosis yet, but definitely have all the high histamine issues that can go along with it) I 100% agree, with Cassandra’s rosacea, acne, sinusitis attacks, and other complaints she has mentioned I have wondered if she may have gut dysbiosis (which is very common in those with EDS) Thank you for bringing this to her attention, hopefully she reads your comment and considers looking into it as a possibility -or- as a rule out

I used to watch you like a decade ago (I'm early 20s and I remember your videos on the floor of your living room when you were a model). My hormonal acne has really reduced and hyperpigmentation scars have faded after using the acnefree adapalene you recommended. I was really worried about using too strong of actives on my face for acne, but having dry skin, benzoyl peroxide made my skin drier and didn't help my acne, and salicylic acid didn't do anything it seemed. I'm finally seeing results with adapalene after taking your advice. My mom was using it for a while and then stopped lol but I think she sees better results with vitamin c for her pigmentation. Vitamin c didn't do much for me. Anyway thank you! So glad to see you thriving and passionate about your work so many years later.

Hi Cassandra. I have rosacea (the type with redness and telangectasias). What has really worked for me is mixing a small amount of three (alcohol free) plant extracts into a moisturizer: quassia (also called bitter root) + MSM gel, milk thistle, and licorice extracts. A recent research study I looked at (I’m sorry, I don’t have the citation on hand at the moment, but any Pubmed search should bring it up) included a topical cream with these three extracts (at 1-4% concentration applied twice a day) + MSM gel, and it had very good results, especially for telangectasias (which other rosacea treatments don’t seem to help much with). I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it (the extracts have been used in traditional medicines for centuries) and, over about the past month, I’ve seen my rosacea improve quite a lot (where nothing else has helped much). It is a slightly bit sticky in texture, but I find that’s an advantage under makeup (it acts a bit like those sticky primers). Obviously, people should proceed with caution when “going DIY”. Anyone thinking about trying this out should absolutely do a test patch first, to make sure they’re not allergic. And I’m certainly not advising anyone to do as I did. But, since it has made such a big difference for me, it didn’t seem right not to at least mention it. I think we’re likely to see these ingredients (which seem to act synergistically for rosacea) included in skin products in the near future. So, something to watch for!

I'm interested to hear your opinion about Amazon. You're a vegan and rightfully don't purchase non cruelty free products. I think for something to be cruelty free it shouldn't have caused harm to anyone, any creature, and society (for example If a company or a company's parent company is selling and openly advising skin bleaching products in India and pushing the toxic and harmful narrative colorism, they are not cruelty free and will not be getting my money, no matter what philanthropic front they'd present in my country). Thus buying from and supporting Amazon *when other options are available* is a tricky subject. Knowing that you are a very conscious consumer, I'd love to hear your side.

They still sell the old version in my country. I'm not even a dark-skinned person. My skin is medium-to-tanned, and the older version leaves a visible white cast on my skin. It's very minimal though compared to other mineral sunscreens that i've tried. The newer version is even worse. My sister bought it a few months ago, and it was nearly as bad as the old Neutrogena Sheer Zinc sunscreen. Most Asian and European hybrid sunscreens are usually very elegant. I've tried Skin Aqua, 3W Clinic, L'Oréal, CosRX, etc and they leave no white cast at all.

@@whitepaper5241 were you smoothing it around your face in circular motions? That will leave a white cast, if you tapped it in with your fingertips it'd absorb quicker.

I never order on Amazon or ebay for that reason. Over 10 years ago when K-Beauty products where really hard to get I did order on weird shops and got fake products. So I had to look for trustworthy international shops that unfortunately cost me so much shipping and tax… Thankfully, it‘s much easier these days :)

I ran across the Jin Jung essence a couple months ago put it in my cart but ended up not purchasing it and completely forgot about it until this video. I am now very tempted to buy it even though I already have 5 toners/essences in my routine already. 🤣🤣🤦

Hey! If you've got psoriasis, or it even runs in your family, and you ever start noticing swollen fingers or toes, or generally any joint pain, please check in with a doctor. I had no idea psoriatic arthritis was a thing until I got diagnosed a few years ago and the damage was permanent.

I tried the make p:rem light-weight sun fluid, and it didn’t cause any problems for my face, but made it look greasy and I had to use a lot of oil blotting sheets lolol. So I’m going to definitely try out the sun stick one.

Can you make a holiday gift guide?? I want to add some stuff to my secret Santa wish list but don’t know where to begin. My entire routine is cerave wash then cerave moisturizer, once a month the ordinary chemical peel.

I’ve heard of most of the brands shown in this video and tried some as I only use Korean skincare. If you only use k-beauty or k beauty is your passion then these won’t be new to you BUT if you’re lucky and it’s the first time you try them it’ll be like Christmas to you!!

Hi! I stumbled upon your video in Facebook and I went down into the rabbit hole and can't get out. 😂 😂 Now I go crazy looking into the ingredients list every time I look into skincare products of mostly Filipino made brands, I am from the Philippines btw, that are within my budget. In love with K-brands too, but my budget aint gonna like it. 😂 Thank you for your informative videos. Take care!

When I first fell in love w the ordinary aha bha, my mom decided to order her own from Amazon. I looked at reviews after she ordered it bc I knew it was an intense mask & didn’t want her to mess up her skin. I checked the reviews & tried warning her people say the color is different. I even compared her bottle to mine. The color was different!! Hers was way more pinky. She was stubborn though. Sure enough she had a terrible reaction after the second use. & she neeeeever reacted to my original bottle.

Hope this helps but hyaluronic acid should always go on damp skin so it absorbs correctly. Depending on your climate. I agree though a doctor visit would be best

I like the idea of k beauty and other international skin care but I know for me and I’ve talked to other online about it too and we h e a more sensitive skin type or eczema and what not and for many of us these products even the ones for “sensitive skin or targeted toward eczema have been not the greatest products. But I agree for the average person these are great. I’ll take my non innovative formula western skincare any day for my skin at least.

Got Neogen's White Truffl oil-in-drop serum and mist from a store in Seoul, and fell in love with the serum. Unfortunately, just when I wanted to buy it for a second time, it was out of stock. Later I noticed it is back on the market, only the price was doubled. Ordered it from Neogen's page on the Japanese Amazon and it was shipped form S. Korea. I was very unpleasently surprised that the formula was different - it was unscented, muddy and felt different on the skin. So, even if you try your best to get the actual product, sometimes the cosmetic company fucks it up. Not purchasing it for a third time.
