Now I just have Ruan Mei and Kafka to save for! 1.6 is gonna be a banger update fr, also love the subtly unsubtle teasers at Screwllum, Aventurine, Robin, Firefly, Sparkle and Acheron possibly becoming playable during the 2.x update cycles. I don’t mention Sunday yet because as much as I hope he becomes playable something seems a bit… Cocoliesque about him, so I’m just cautiously optimistic

What HSR team did is extremely clever, they clearly have a deep understanding on how the pull revenue for each limited 5 star would yield, and clearly Dr. Ratio is in a bad position being the end of version pull surrounded by other more favorable 5 stars and next version pulls, it is just better to give him out for free so players are more willingly pull for his light cone/soul/Kafka pulls, as well as attracting new players and old ex-players with a limited 5 star for starting battle cast, together with a good "make yourself a reason" like winning awards or lore matching marketing, even for simple player base ratings, they have a perfect timing for advertising.

Quite the opposite actually. I think they purposely made his banner that ways since he'll be given out for free. If you look at the trend, the new characters are always put in the 2nd banners: Yukong on Luocha, Luka on Kafka, Lynx on Fu Xuan, Guinafen on Topaz, and now Hanya on Argenti. This would ensure players to pull if they want it. It would make sense to move Xueyi on the first part if they planned to give him out already (and just used the banner excuse for comedic skit)

God we are eating SO good. As someone who plays both Genshin and HSR im eating even more good shit ahsh Honestly tho, all this gift giving does kinda have me a bit worried. HSR fans are gettung a tons of good shit in the form of free gifts, to the point where they expect i. If HSR ever gets to a point where they stop giving those gifts ooo boy, the fans are going to riot and it will NOT be good for them. Ironically by increasing the reward they increase the expectations and increase the chance of people getting seriously dissatisfied and getting angry, and if they want to potentiality avoid that, thay will have to keep gift giving on the same level A lot of peopel consider HSR to be the better game SOLELY because of the amount of free shit they give, so what happens if they stop giving them? I may be over thinking but it just has me worried ya know? When u keep getting free shit it stops being surprising and starts being expected. I guess thats one thing Genshin doesn't have to worry about cuz if they ever do decide to give us a free 5 star or free wishes like HSR it would truly be a rare and surprising thing Im definitely overthinking this. Please do not take this as me saying i hate HSR, i definitely dont. I LOVE the game, heck i love both Genshin and HSR im just expressing a potential hole the devs might be putting themselves into

Yes, same here, I play both games too One can also imagine as being in a workspace, if u work more than what you r required to do, u indeed impress your boss, but after that, u will be given more workload, as u r expected to do that as u did earlier But if u don't produce the same product as u did before, everyone will be disappointed and dissatisfied with u, which is exactly what's happening here with HSR From the start of the game, its been giving so much rewards upon rewards for free "without much effort" which increases every patch up until now People already have their hopes high for HSR 1st anniversary as they expect nothing less than another free 5-star, and imagine the rage if they don't get one 😅 Genshin's playing it safe as they should be, rewards do not that terrible, and they get our hopes high, so don't expect anything from them The only thing they can do is give us QoL updates that improves the experience of playing the game, as it doesn't cost them money, and we players are happy too, also, a free 5-stars at anniversary is nothing too much to ask for, but one has to remember the sheer effort it takes to create a fully functional character, so giving away something you worked hard for free doesn't always feel good either

As much as I love all the rewards we get I just feel like it's going to screw them over soon and shits gonna hit the fan And you're so right on Genshin. They are definitely playing it safe and honestly? I feel like it's a good call. While it wouldn't hurt to have a free five star or be able to pick from the standard banner like in HSR I don't mind the rewards coming few and far between. It does make then feel more special and it does keep our expectations low which helps them WOW us Qol updates is definitely the go too for genshin I feel. I would prefer those over rewards and they did say they were working on then and more endgame so it's just a matter of waiting.

@@kkpaaw8549 i mean you gain some you lose some, for the better welfare you get in hsr you get faster power creep and more spending per player (like more ppl pulling for light cone than you would weapon in genshin,cos you are supporting about the same revenue as genshin with about 1/3 the player base its bound to happen), hsr feel more like a treat to people attuned to the classical gacha game formula and dont mind spending more for it (or maybe they are not aware of it )

This isn't directed at Bran, more of a frustrated general comment, but. I am trying so hard to keep liking and playing Star Rail, and the HSR community makes it difficult. Every time someone says "Genshin could never" it just drives away people that could be happily coexisting with you by insulting something they love as much if not more. The "L+Ratio+Genshin Could Never" crowd have already done so much to sour my mood on Star Rail today that it eclipses the joy I felt upon hearing that we'd be getting the free Dr. Ratio. Every time I join an HSR livestream or watch an HSR VOD I have to decide whether I'm in the mood to hear something I really love get randomly trash talked by a streamer or content creator or chat, even if it's not the main topic of conversation, because it happens almost every time and it's getting old enough that I'm considering not engaging with HSR content any more. I really wish people could act mature about the games and let them coexist without constant comparisons. They offer different things to people that want different types of gameplay, and that's perfectly fine.

i doubt a genshin player likes to pay 3 time on average as much for their character and have their character power creeped out of existence much faster though, also the problem with hsr is that the game is best enjoyed in chinese unfortunately due to the localisation of jokes much more than genshin (which is a key part of the experience of playing hsr imho)

@@wansichen3743 lol, till that day I play two team comps: 1. Seele(E0S1), SW(E0), Bronya(E0), Fu Xuan(E0) and 2. Kafka(E0), Sampo(E2), Pela(E6), HuoHuo(E0). F2P btw. Before HuoHuo it was Lynx, about what powercreep exactly you are saying? I mean, yes, sustain supports definitely have powercreep, but the game not that hard, to not be able to clear it without new characters. I don't have Imbibitor, Blade and Jingliu and I don't have troubles to clear all content that the game offers.

His animations look cool, so I'm glad to only think of snagging his light cone. Everything else for Ruan Mei ♥︎ I'm SO excited for Penacony now because I immediately knew I needed Sunday and Aventurine, and still want Hanabi. I might end up passing on Black Swan for now after all, depending on her kit. I can't wait

Side note but something that's sad is, I recall in tof there were a few collab characters global servers won't get that are pretty broken, so tbh a collab character in genshin doesn't have excuses to not be good. If I was Sony I would have called off that deal lol. The sad thing is so many in the community are convinced the devs are only doing this to entice leaving players to come back (as if that's not every company's goal) since it's "doing poorly". I know many complain about the Xianzhou story but there are way more who like it or are fine with it and I feel like people are just in such bitter disbelief as genshin players that they can't conceptualize a dev team from the same company is being so generous.

It's funny to me that Herta calls Dr. Ratio narcissistic, like, pot calling the kettle black. Anyways, so happy I don't have to pull for Ratio and can now save for Sparkle, Aventurine, Gallagheer and Sunday. I'm just praying Aventurine doesn't come after Sparkle because rip wallet in that case. Thankfully seems like Screwllum will most likely come out during a trailblaze continuance mission like Ruan Mei so he's still a long way ahead. Acheron will most likely be Jingliu level of broken since she's the Raiden expy, but I just hope she has an interesting personality, though I'm a bit sad that her design from the back (I assume that's her lc art?) looks a bit too similar to Seelie.

It started with the tb power reserve I feel so much more comfortable playing knowing i can farm all at once And now getting a free 5 star,the character I already have 40 warps saved for.i can actually get blade.i thought I would have to save for his next rerun because I want ratio's lightcone

The way I look at it, HSR has a lot of flash but Genshin has the better story. Maybe I'd feel more about it if I actually wanted Dr Ratio. I much prefer story over flash and Genshin has a far far better story than HSR so far.

Adventurine looks like Elias Nokianvirtanen. 45:00 *Himeko* meanwhile HI3 Player(and former players) are like "They are so not gonna kill her again" or "Ahh, Sh!t here we go again." Black Swan is Older HSR Sirin Acheron a Raiden Mei Subspecies. Honkai Gakuen Mei kills Himeko.
