Since sound should be universal then im going to guess KZfaq is experiencing issues right now, so if the app is silent it may work on desktop! I'll give it a bit and if I see the issue persists I may have to reupload. Otherwise, ty for your patience!!

Omg thank you so much for using and crediting my site!!! I haven’t finished the video yet, but do wanna give a shoutout to my friend @orangebratz who helped find those wallpapers featured on the site! I wish I had known sooner about the feature because I’m now friends with the owner of Bratz Mania and he gave me some insight about the Japanese site, but I haven’t had a chance to update those pages since there’s huge renovations happening on the site. 😅 I am still working on piecing some things together, but I may have found a few extra things to throw into the pile of CoooolTV evidence! I also was in the very early stages of potentially getting footage of the show, but it never panned out. 😢 I’m hoping we can get even more info on the series in the future! I’ve done so many deep dives and searches for crumbs of info! Can’t wait to finish the video and really appreciate you shouting out the site! And if any your viewers are using it, just wanna say there are HUGE updates happening very soon! 💜

@@RayMonaShe’s just as big in Japan as she is in her home country. She actually quit school and focused on the Japanese market after releasing music there. So she’s definitely got a big fan base there, she’s just not considered a J-Pop idol, because it’s not her main focus nor is her main company there.

@@adamsmoberlyBoA was also one of the first K-Pop artists to break barriers of being a popular Korean artist in Japan. Namely she started her career in 2000, which was around the time that South Korea was lifting bans on Japanese cultural products that were implemented after World War II and fully lifting that ban in 2004.

Wow, something I can help with, slightly. (No, sadly I have no recordings.) So, back in 2003 I was a 20 year old, recently married, and about to have my first son, but I still kept in contact with a lot of my Japanese friends thanks to this new fangled "internet" thing. My friend (whom has requested anonymity, sorry) was (and is) a huge doll person, like myself. Basically these episodes were like weekly bumpers played on (oddly) late night MTV. The Bratz were essentially American tourists doing Japanese things. Hence the Zen temple (where, yes, most of the girls prayed to be thinner, it was the early 2000's...) the swimming pool in the blue school swimsuit (anyone who's watched any anime knows exactly the one I'm talking about) and the music video, which I believe got the most replay due to being attached to BOA. So, the weird late night slot and early cancellation thing: Parent groups. Essentially a PTA, but on steroids. Japanese trad-moms HATED these dolls, and heavily petitioned against anything that had to do with them in fairly intense letter writing campaigns. They didn't want "foreigner" dolls "mocking" Japanese traditions. Japan did not need to be "cool". Yes, really. I don't think the rickshaw episode ever aired, but to be fair I was kind of giving birth back in the States at the time (my son was born on the 10th that September). So, despite forcing the channel to play the bumpers on late night TV, that didn't stop older kids (and some adult men) from recording and sharing them on said new fangled internet. These "concerned parents" weren't happy about that. The show was canceled, links containing the episodes were copyright struck, and the website was just sort of allowed to die. And no, I'm not saying any of this in a "Japan is bad" sort of way. I love Japan and I can't wait to visit my friends again in hopefully a couple more years (we try to meet up every 10 years or so). Just remember, every country has intolerant people and sadly the Bratz' Coool TV bumpers were just one of their casualties. (If you'd like some funny insight into these "campaigns" you should watch Gintama. The actors regularly break the fourth wall to bitch about these parents harassing the Sunrise studio.) Not MUCH help, I know, but at least I can confirm they're real and that I've seen 3 of them. As for the missing VA I think she may have been voiced by a guest every week, but don't quote me on that, it has been 20 years and it possible she was just swapped out for a different actress after episode 2. Great work as always, Raymona! 🤗

This is amazing, thank you for the insight!!! Also, that makes a lot of sense haha in the 90s we had a lot of kids cartoons (both american made and dubbed) get censored for similar parental concerns. When the game super smash bros came out, angry parents tried to petition to have the commercials and game removed. Very bizarre time xD

The "confusion" as to why many Bratz fans are unsure if the stop-motion has anything to do with Coool TV comes from the fact many old Bratz fans remember (including myself) the video appearing on the official American website a few months before Bratz launched in Japan. The video could be seen on a Bratz Cinema section of the website, listed as a "game". Back in that time, the Website was set up to show a little Bratz World with games. If you won the Cinema game, you got to see the video. It was just a promo video that was launched globally, honestly, from the USA website. This is why some Bratz fans aren't sure if it was promo. It may have inspired the Japanese series, though.

Years ago I discovered the existence of "Bratz cool TV" and I'm excited, I've been listening to K pop since I was 11 years old and I've been collecting dolls since I was 18, knowing that the episodes were inaccessible intrigued me a lot and he took me to investigate in Nico Nico douga (the so-called Japanese YT) I didn't find anything about Bratz, I just found out that a Japanese Pop rock band by the name "Brats on B" existed in the 90s, I think that would explain why the dolls were called "Cool Bratz" and not just Bratz how in the West and the rest of the world

Please please please do one of these investigations into the Bratz Boyz Twiins dolls! I know it’s not media, but these dolls are literally impossible and I mean impossible to find anywhere even in used conditions. And there’s so much mystery as to when and where they were released or if they even were released. I seriously need to know and no one can ever give me a definite answer. If there’s anyone who can find out it’s you!

I just wanted to add one more note, as I don't remember if its mentioned in the vid, but the single by BOA was used as the title screen music for Bratz Rock Angelz on the GBA. Also, interesting that there's allegedly a Japanese dub of the 2004 series. This is news to me, and I've never heard of any refrence of this till now. I'm guessing this is also lost media..

(This comment is not hate! I loved the video and just wanted to be of help as someone who is knowledgeable about Japanese culture) A helpful tip for this investigation and for future investigations that might lead you to Japanese individuals. Japanese seiyuu (voice actor) culture is completely different from the Western industry. Seiyuu very rarely speak individually to their fans, or respond to inquiries such as yours. The goal is to keep all fans feeling equal with each other, in order to maintain that personal relationship with the fan base, as fans become very territorial over the celebrities. While many agencies allow fan letters to be sent to the voice actors, this is a one way communication. It's frowned upon for them to speak directly to individual fans on social media as well. Similarly, copyright law and the Japanese equivalent of an nda are extremely strict in Japan, so many individuals will not speak about their past projects in unofficial ways, such as to a youtuber or journalist such as yourself. I feel for you, as this is a hard topic to research, especially going into another culture. If you run into issues with the language barrier again, I recommend reaching out to the lost media community, or even your own subscribers. Many people who speak Japanese and English would probably be willing to help you.

First off, I was in High School at a time where Bratz was big and any-one who wasn't a pre-teen or teenage girl saw it as nothing more than shallow, vapid rubbish. To have been influenced by Bratz was to be pitied. Tho, the one good thing to come from that Bratz movie was the Bratman dub. I will concede that, without Bratz, we may not have gotten Monster High, Rainbow High, Equestria Girls or DC Super Hero Girls (the latter being guilty pleasures). So, despite Bratz being semi-popular but not all that well-liked, it's fascinating to see all the details you dug up on at an attempt to bring them to Japan and Korea.

Sounds like there was a lot of pandering to the Japanese market with this cartoon series. I doubt it would have been something they'd bother translating for the overseas market. Reminds me of the TMNT 87 episodes where they went to various locations in Europe specifically to pander to those markets, except those were made in English first to later be part of the American series broadcasts. Just several years later on a cable network. Anyway, it sounds like these were short episodes that SHOULD have been put directly on a Japanese webpage advertising the dolls instead or along side of the TV airings. Had a mainstream, KZfaq like video page existed back then, that would have been the place to put it to get the eyeballs they needed. Not that it couldn't still effectively become lost, but the odd timeslots did doom the series and a secondary viewing space would have at least garnered more recollections.

I had one of the plush foxes they put out. It was the blue one with the black paws and tail tip. I really need to get one again.

She had one of the best color palettes esp her fall clothes, really pretty and i would have preferred her over Dana😂

At the time, Meygan had actually had a short retirement in 2003 and was replaced by Dana. This was due to actual backlash from Meygan's early release when people only wanted the initial four dolls and weren't ready to embrace a fifth member yet. But when Dana was put in her place, fans realized the Bratz universe was just expanding. I also think red haired characters struggle to sell overall in doll franchises. Eventually, though, fans asked for Meygan back and she came back in 2004. I remember being in Bratz World back in the day when all of this occurred.
