jazzy j Angel Beats is basically about people who died in their youth and had a bad life. They then get transported into a battlefield and have to survive. When they finally appreciate their life they get obliterated which means they will get reincarnated and have a new life. Definitely should watch and get some tissue while you’re at it for tears. (:

For me the anime was kind of shit.. The whole power up thing is pointless. BUT the last chapter is gold. I totally would watch the whole serie just for those last moments..

Honestly speaking, i hate this anime. Yeah hate it. Hate is really strong word. The reason i use the word hate is coz i was super disappointed by this anime. It had an amazing premise and infinite story arcs to follow. Rather than capitilizing on the brilliant premise it had, it just cut through those story arcs like some speedster. Like the story felt so rushed and i had this cramped feeling while watching the episodes. But this is not the reason why i hate this anime. The reason is that there were some really really really good episodes. 3-4 to be precise. These episodes touched my heart and like gave me hope that this anime is really good and its gonna get better. But what happens in the very next ep is throwing the previous ep in the bin and just rushing again. For example ep9. Ep9 is one of the most touching ep ive ever seen. The story of the pink haired girl. That was so good and so touching. And i really really wanted that arc to continue so that the story gets familiar with more side characters. Like the story of the scepter guy, the dance guy and everyone. By that arc we would have seen everyones backstory and also build a really strong chemistry between the mc and Angel. But the thing that happened in the very next ep just broke my heart completly. The shadow something arc was the worst possible arc. The arc that destroyed a potentially beaitiful storyline. I was so frusturated by that arc that i literally stopped caring. The end had a HUGE plot hole, but if it had a great chemistry between the mc and Angel, that plot hole would have been overlooked by me. But because the chemistry was super weak, i didnt care. I cried more in the pink hair girl's ep. The only consistently good thing about the anime is its supporting characters. I love all the supporting characters esp the best friends. They make this anime so much worth to watch. According to me, it was the studio's fault that angel beats didnt get enough episodes. 13 ep arent enough to say the story of angel beats. It atleast needs like 25ep and if possible 50+ ep. It needed a slow yet remarkable start and bonding between the characters. It did not need the shadow arc rather needed the wish fulfilment arc which would have made it one of the most beautiful storyline. So yeah i hate this anime coz even after having so so soooooo much potential it just destroyed itself. And i really really need a remake of Angel Beats that should be 50+ ep long and should have the wish arc rather than the shadow arc. And the ending was the only thing that helped me calm down after watching a really bad ep. Its my opinion tho ^^' But i really need a remake of this anime coz this anime deserves it the most so that the beautiful story that stood by the shadows could come out. Its one of those animes which has eminence potential but was executed poorly

I'm confused about this topic haha. Its both cool and kind of shit the fact that they thaught you more about you than yourself. You supposed to find those answers by yourself I think, because what you are doing is watching the whole life (or at least three monts) of a character in like two days (if the anime is gold) which gives you all the answer of how life works right away. my point is even though they might be right is not your personal opinion, is just a fictional one that you resonate with. Is it wrong? of course not, but keep in mind life isn't anime and the way of how you supposed to die might be totally diferent than two days of quick learning... After all what is good or bad right?

I would say something similar for Kokoro Connect. It changed my perspective about human relations drastically. The whole anime was like a course for me. I got used to not relying on other people even if they are willing to help and I'm in need. Also, I was not into other people since they would make me bothered about their lives and "stupidities" and would interrupt my plans of doing nothing. At the cost, I feel lonely all the time and long for someone to exchange emotions, despite having such people. From Kokoro Connect, I learned to rely on others and make people close to me rely on me. It's not the only anime that gave me perspective(I really learned tons from mistakes characters do). But it made a big difference(also with the help of the psychotherapy).

Honestly, if this is a 24-episode anime, my heart would explode 😅I think the anime doesn't need another season. For me, just an OVA of Yuzuru and Kanade actually interact in the real world would give me closure coz the epilogue scene where Yuzuru reached for Kanade's shoulder left the fanbase with a lot of theories and translations so the ending may be beautiful, but it's half-baked.

I dunno about you guys but the version I watched, in a post credits scene, they met each other after reincarnation without memories, but they had a sense of deja vu when they saw each other. Show cuts off then

If I remember correctly, I think she died of some kind of heart disease. It was also implied that the main character's heart was given to her when he died (hence their connection in the after life, and the name of the opening song "My Soul, Your Beats"), but it must not have been enough to save her, unfortunately.
