you have to appreciate how professional the videos are every once in a while. even though its a youtube channel, they make it feel like a whole series on Animal Planet. the expensive cameras are one thing, but the planning and editing and everything in between making the full story come together is really amazing.

Orcas are actually the LARGEST species of dolphin! There are also no recorded incidents with WILD orcas hurting anyone! Only orcas in captivity are known to cause injuries perhaps death. These majestic animals really won’t bother you if you don’t bother them. In fact, there really friendly and social creatures!

This makes me cry for Lolita the beautiful and oldest killer whale in captivity who also happens to be in an “aquarium” only 4 times her body length being the smallest enclosure for a killer whale, ever ): everyone, please help to get Lolita to retire. There are people trying to get her into her natural habitat but have it netted off, big enough for her to enjoy and get the enrichment she deserves but small enough for her to be able to adjust and experience her life the way it’s meant to be and keep away any predators 🥺😢❤️ she has been living her boring, depressing life. Records which were legally forced to be released (because they were hiding it) even show all the health issues with her skin burning and constantly bumping into the concrete and she is on constant medication for all the health problems caused to her from keeping her in captivity. Rarely any play time or bonding with her trainers. It’s the absolute worst situation one of these perfect creatures could ever be in. Being kept alive to suffer mentally and physically for profit. Did I mention she’s been in that same tank since 1970? Wild orcas travel over 100 miles per day. And seek deep water to protect their sensitive skin from the sun while her skin is tender, wrinkled, scarred and burned. Her tank at the deepest point is only 20 feet while most other points are only twelve. Records also show that at times her tanks deepest point is 11 feet. She lays in one spot bored or swimming in circles. In one year they only let her have 4 toys to play with (like a ball, a wetsuit, ice, and a hose) and not all of those toys at the same time. She also has bad and painful eyesight which is getting worse due to the radiation from the sun. Oh and she gets attacked by dolphins sometimes. She also hasn’t had an orca companion in about 40 years. Her life matters so so much please, everyone, do your research on her and help us save her. She’s being tortured and she’s trying to communicate that to us with her behavior

I hope I'm not the only one that cried like a baby. The orca has been my favourite animal since I was a child. I remember as a kid I would always (unfortunately) see them at Marineland in Niagara falls here in Canada. As an adult I realize those animals shouldn't be kept as entertainment. I hope one day to see them like this with my own eyes, care free in the ocean. Swimming freely into the sunset. I've never seen anything more beautiful. Thank you Coyote.

Love this episode...... We live in the north of the UK and orcas are common offshore in the deep northern Atlantic. And I have to say, as a parent you huys are just exactly what is needed for the generation of screen addicted children...... and I mean that in the way that you encourage them to appreciate and look outside and respect and to be in awe of our natural environment. My children are 7, 8 and 20 (I'm 39!) and we all love your show. I grew up with Sir David Attenborough in books and then chris packham doing the really wild show on tv and they laid blueprints in me that I hope you leave in the millions of children who cant wait to see you in the next episode. Coyote, dave and Mario. You're amazing! 🐙🦈🐡🐋🦑🐟🦐🦞🐠🦀🐬

Orcas, dolphins and other marine mammals have been known to be very social creatures. So social in fact that their rapist, violent and necrophiliac tendencies are enjoyed in groups. In fact, there's been recorded events of dolphins bullying seals, beating them up until their spines break, as groups whereas orcas will work in teams to kill even when they're not hungry simply for sport then leave the carcasses.

I'm glad Coyote did an adventure with Killer Whales because they have been my favorite animal since I was 3 years old. Fun Fact: Even though we think of Orcas living in cold water, there are some that prefer warm water, such as a pond that was spotted in the Gulf of Mexico a few years ago, and there was one spotted in the Caloosahatchee River in Florida about a year ago.
