25% grade for engineers, 4:1 for normal people. Either way, a lot of dirt! 150 @ 20 yds = 3000 yds. About 4 tanks of fuel for the haul truck & at least 2 for the excavator.

Shame they didn't allow a smaller lake with a proper built dam and less risk of failure. Could have used the dirt to fill in for a smaller lake. That's some good looking clay

Cat do both line of sight and sit in a hut far away remote control for excavators, loaders, and dozers. You can get it on anything from a little compact track loader to a D11. I don't know if they have done it for dump trucks yet, but I bet they would if you wrote a suitably large check and signed a liability waiver.

Great for a PAY TO FISH CATFISH POND. THOSE TYPE PONDS MAKE FANTASTIC MONEY ONCE THEY ARE STOCKED WITH CATFISH, BASS, BRIM, WHITE TROUT, CRAPPIE. COULD EVEN GET BILL DANCE DO A SHOW ON THE LAKE.

Once upon a time, I could calculate the volume of fairly complex geometric shapes in my head, such as that of the part of the dam to be removed. That ability seems to have atrophied, largely due to over-reliance on calculators & advancing age...

The merest bit of side load and a tiny twist and I have a torn ligament that took me to the local ED department which I left several hours later with a feck-off knee brace and crutches, and a lighter wallet.
