great video! does the rule of three work for linking? like this sentence thye developed the bond. the t after the p in the word developed, can we drop the t? or should we just pronounce that t as a stop t/unreleased t? how can we tell the difference between thses two sentences, they develop the bond vs they developed the bond?

Is the word "crooked" an exception to rule #1?

Hi Erika - Thanks for your question! The word "crooked" can be pronounced both ways, depending on if it's a verb or an adjective :)

Whenever I tried to explain that to americans they always deny that they drop the -ed ending in such situations. Isn't it strange that they don't even notice that?

Hi Matt - Yes, this is so true! I've even asked my mom about her pronunciation of -ed words, and she vehemently denied she dropped the -ed ending. It's strange, but true! :)
