After using the XL for almost 2 1/2 years I feel like I need to update you on this Speakers performance and take a peek inside.
Spoiler Alert... IT LEAKS, It did die and come back, water can be a pain.

I have an Anker sound core 2 for a couple years. I think it sounds great. And it gets loud. Has good base.

Thanks for the informative video. I have a Mini LifeJacket 3 I'm fixing on my channel currently. It has power, but just sits blinking with a red/blue light upon powering on with no sound. Any tips?

I had the same problem a year ago. Just a small amount of water got in, but the rust damage looks pretty bad inside. I’d like to replace the corroded parts - would you be able to tell me what I need? I’m not sure what the green “main board” is called and if I can salvage the Bluetooth bit. I also have rust around some connecting wires. I can email pictures.

My speaker is done for just like yours, it is what we cal NWR... Not Worth Repair. Sorry to say that but its true, I would have thrown mine away already but I am going to make a video on this speaker first. Beleive me, I am not a "throw away " person.

So, I bought mine in January of '18. Like you I have used the dickens out of it. When I bought it I was told that once the battery stops taking a charge, there is nothing to be done other than go buy a whole new unit. That the battery was not replaceable. Yet you juts showed how easy it is to access the workings. Are those type of batteries available? Mine has shown no signs of wearing down...but just thought it would eb good to have the info now before it goes away. Thanks. Great video on disassembly too.

I have no idea what people are replacing the OEM battery with. Just google it? Thanks for watching. Cheers

@@breakerbroke23 Okay. But as I stated...people seem to be told that they are not replaceable...I was told the units were not accessible. You sure blew that info out of the park. I guess when mine starts to lose charge life I will do that. Great video BTW. Thanks.

is that an 8 Ohm/5W driver? Kinda weak for its IMHO.. I have LifeJacket 3 and it's just okay. 15W according to Google.

I got the same speaker at Burlington for 8.99 plus tax, but mine is all black. They had it in a Sharper Image box though.

Are display models usable? I just disconnected from the display.. but they look to be wired differently..

I have the mini and it works perfectly fine but if you turn it up loud it starts to crackle.?? What should I do

My XL and JBL flip4 are doing the same thing. They both have had lots of use and abuse, so im thinking it may be moisture related. I have disassembled both units and they don't seem to be repairable. Well at least over my head.So.... IMHO just use it till it dies:) If I ever figure out how to make repairs I will post on this channel. Cheers
