I loved the part when she said that as a Doula her contract is with the baby. I really felt that! Her recognising that the unborn child is not simply a reflection or extension of his/her parents but a divine spiritual being in its right was so amazing to me. 💖💞✨

Erykah Badu's voice (especially at the end) relaxed me so much to the point, I said that her team should have her do a Sleep Story episode on Calm or a Talk/Head Space collaboration. Where they record her voice telling us, the listener, a story that calms us down and relaxes us to sleep. Like a lullaby or how you find those soothing nature sounds that help us sleep on KZfaq, like the ocean, waterfalls, rain and wind sounds.

Erykah for me IS music. Baduizm was the first album I ever heard. I was a baby and my parents played all her songs every week since I can remember. I became a music artist and badu is always my way back to source, back to why I wanted to make music in the first place. Saw her live for the 5th time at a music festival in Europe last year and her energy is just so magnetizing every time. Her inner beauty translates in her physical beauty….radiant. I've always thought I'm the same as you and Erykah; an empath. It takes me a while to release and get back to myself, after talking to certain people about their issues because I absorb whatever it is that they are feeling. Also, the older I get, the more I'm able to pick on people's energy and see visions of things before they happen. For instance, my ex, who I fell out with 4 years ago andhave not had any contact with, out of the blue, texted me. Mind you, a few weeks before he reached out, his energy was heavy on me for no reason. So that was weird and yet, made sense to me at the same time. But yeah, Erykah oozes enlightenment. Even if she tried to hide it, it would come through

It was as though she was talking to me directly. When i had came to an understanding of who I AM, listening to her songs was like Ms.badu reinforcing me the statement that "i'm not going crazy", That this spiritual journey is real, so don't worry i'm here to guide you although I can't PHYSICALLY be there with you. Ms. Badu i'm definitely growing, and I hope to sit with you one day and spend hours conversing with you, drinking and absorbing your spiritual milk!!!

@@KinuGoddess777 With all due respect our Ancestors weren't Christians. They had their own Spiritual belief system. It wasn't evil but the pale faces had to beat fear and religion into them. I respect what the Church did during the Civil Rights movement but we're slowly going back to the ways of the Ancestors. If you want to keep practicing Christianity that's fine but don't preach to us when it's not helping us change our condition ✌️
