Heard someone say she was lifeless. One learns to refrain from retaliation, as it only fuels the abuser’s aggression and incites further abusive conduct. @@muchan7112 As a survivor of past abuse, I perceive this as an additional factor that enabled him to exploit her vulnerability. It happened to me also when both of my parents had already passed and I had a limited family network, I was on my own and very young. Likely, she seemed to have been in a similar state of isolation. The heartbreaking part is the struggle to escape. Many are unaware of the life-threats imposed by powerful men, and she was just a young girl at the time. He put a deep fear in her. Watching this... seeing her hand come around her body reaching back to protect herself as he kicked her.. I cried! It really re-opened painful and dark areas for me. It was like I wanted to jump thru the TV and help her! I know it was sometime ago, but the PTSD is real! I hope she is happy where ever she is now.

I agree. The hotel is no longer in business. An hourly employee (not even a manager) was paid by Diddy. Probably a young person (18-21-year-old) making minimum wage. An older person (30 & above) would have demanded a lot more money or would have called the police and not even wanted the money. Unfortunately, it happened in a way to make the greatest impact. The cops would have been paid off and would not have arrested him.

I literally was in therapy crying because I had relived all of my past trauma when I watched this video. I couldn’t even watch it in its entirety because it was just too bad. People who have not experienced it, will never understand what it’s like to be in that situation and how many times you want to escape or tell someone but you just can’t. A family member (a man) sexually and physically abused me from the age 10-17 and I didn’t say a word until many many years later. I would freeze in his presence, I would just go numb and not be able to move. People do need to have some empathy for Cassie and stop blaming her or not believing her. I stand with Cassie and all the victims

Seeing the video made me started flashing back. When that thing kicked her it reminded me of when my ex husband had me down on the floor and kept trying to stomp me while wearing boots. I had defensive wounds on my hands and feet. Even after 10 years of being divorced I still have a protection order.

I'm 35, and my daughter's father is 56. He was my abuser and he acted and still acts the exact same way. I got away from him by the grace of God, but I still suffer from the trauma and my daughter suffers from him not being there for her unless he can be involved with me. It's sickening. The physical scars eventually heal but the mental scars. I'm still in therapy. Praying for justice for all victims🙏🏾💯🌹💜

As a domestic violence survivor myself, that video was very triggering but now I’m good at spotting abusers. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s exposed that Jay-Z abuses Beyoncé. Narcissists love abusing women of high caliber. It strokes their egos even more. That’s probably why Solange got on his ass in that elevator and she just watched. Hey that’s just my opinion but I do think we will start hearing more stories about what really happens behind closed doors of these celebrities. I’m patiently waiting!

17:30 the fact that men (these awesome men) had more insight into this situation than myself, a woman who has been abused and fell into yet again, reminds me that no matter who you are, no matter how smart or educated on abuse and cults you are (similiar metrics), ANYONE can gey sucked in. i just want ti remind woman, that it is not your fault if you end up in a fucked up abusivr relationship. There is only so much awareness, experience and personal accountability you can have-based off of your previous experience, that will prevent you from becoming subject to a freakishly absurdly effed up situation. you can be so smart and self educate, but if you do end up in an effef up abusive situation, it doesnt mean that you deserve it.
