Journalists Azaz Syed and Umar Cheema discuss the story of Lt.Gen(r)Javed Iqbal who was given 7 years sentence by a military court on the (alleged) charges of spying. The program is originally recorded on 5th of October 2022 and being released a day later on 6th October.

whatever, a citizen should be given a fair opportunity to submit his plea in defence. Listen to the last part of this story, now the case is in the HC but for the last few hearing no proceeding has been done. There are many more cases like that in which the date is always fixed but no further progress has been seen. This is not that the court was very busy but the Corut recevied a "call" not proceed into this matter.

Yes General sab wasn’t kaka mahna he was definitely well paid and all this game guy and then NSA guys were after him for a purpose he should’ve written permission from GHQ for all this activity. You are saying he spoke to General Bilal and Bajwa. Verbally what a nonsense are you a kaka mahna ? That too is only to pass their exams. : social media can play a vital role in the promotion of books. Social media can be used as a tool to promote book reading. Writers and book readers can initiate discussions about the books, which will catch the attention of social media users and eventually they will get attracted to read books. Bajwa and bilal Akbar are responsible. Bajwa did this and made scapegoat of Lt. General Javed Iqbal for his extension. InshaAllah he will be released soon.

Our system follows French system and not UK system. Once I read about it that the Brits intentionally installed French clone system in subcontinent because of huge population and less management resources. French system is slow and lazy and takes a long time in processing while British system is rapid processing.

Aizaz Syed and Umar Cheema ... you both are excellent journalists of integrity . I have no doubt you are aware of the fact that military intelligence in a nuclear power state like Pakistan is of very high standard . There must be some very sensitive information related to this case or a three star general would not end a fate like this. It was an embarrassment for the county and of course institution . I don't think the real truth will ever be revealed. May I suggest please do not under estimate your intelligence service and refrain from making any judgement .... it is not as simple as it looks ..... ! Thank you

In case of a jail sentence, a day and a night are separately counted as days. So, Azaz is right in saying that his 5 years sentence have been completed.

Ma'am i m somebody who is dealing with Military Courts for my friend who was army officer and has been accused by military and sentenced for 7 year imprisonment. We are following that case in High Court, i exactly knows the flaws in military judicial system but as far case of this general in concerned it much different. Pakistan is country dominated by Military, Politicians and Beaurocracy and its not very easy for any Department to accuse and imprison by any of such Holy Cow. If person of Rank General has been imprisoned there is something very very serious which military does want to public to save thier respect from public backlash. He was General not some Sepoy or Subedar or Capt or Major. There around 200+ Sepoy to Majors who are fighting thier cases in Courts but Courts are not listening to them and both these anchors will not discuss them and i know the reason but can't share here. If somebody wants i can share at someother forum

According to Azaz Syed if General Bajwa knows about the story which Genral Javed Iqbal shared with him then General Bajwa should have come to his defence. It's not that one General is saving the other but it's a real and just view. We don't know what pressurised General Bajwa to not come to his defence. It isn't the General Bajwa will do him a favour but the reality is reality which should be known to people.
