I’d rather there be a Salamanca prequel that maybe hints at gus somehow. I’m just not sure if there’s an actor that can pull off a young Gus. It could feature a young mike, since he already knew all about the salamancas right from the beginning of better call Saul. Plus we would get to see how mike became a dirty cop.

We get enough prequel of him in Better Call Saul I don’t know what more you want of him. He’s a good character but he can be dry sometimes
@ralfred20092 жыл бұрын
So I personally feel a Gus prequel could go 1 of 2 ways. Either it'd be too similar a show as it would just be Breaking Bad with Gus in Walt's shoes, or it'd be mostly business meetings and cartel dealings and not all that interesting. I'm of the opinion that Gus is perfect as he is in BB and more information about him would ruin his character or be generally unsatisfying to watch. All of the best, most dramatic moments of his life are in BB

23:07 This detail is actually pretty interesting. At the beginning of season 1, Jessie calls himself "Cap'n cook". This is of course a play on "captain hook", but it could also have something to do with the historical captain james cook, who also ended up being murdered horribly. This could have been foreshadowing for something that never ended up happening.

Giancarlo's acting as Gus terrified me. he always had a very kind, caring demeanor, he was polite. but when he handled business, he kept the same demeanor. he was really quiet. never raised his voice once except right before his death. but even after that, his body language, his facial expressions, were really intimidating, and that in itself is pretty scary. he didn't say a word for the whole time on the episode he killed Victor, silently looking at Walter and Jesse, not a word. never changing his face. even after being drenched with the blood of his own works, he silently cleaned himself, dressed for work, and before leaving, said 4 words: "Get back to work." you know he was very angry with Walt and hated the fact that he couldn't touch him. but you can't read his face. that was terrifying for me. cheers to Giancarlo Esposito for a great performance. deserved more recognition.

Wish we got to hear more from every member of the panel, besides Bryan and Vince. Vince being the show's creator, and Bryan being the driving force of the plot, it makes sense they would get the most attention, but I genuinely wanted to hear more from Anna, Betsy, Bob, RJ, Dean, Bob, and Giancarlo. Even Aaron got a relatively small amount of air time. As Vince iterates many times throughout, it really is a spectacular cast. In a perfect world they would have enough time to discuss the show and its cast at length.

Loved seeing them all back together but kinda broke my heart how it was basically Vince, Aaron, and Cranston talking for 45 minutes and the other amazing actors/characters who contributed so much to the show get like 3 minutes between 9 people. 3 of my fave characters Gus, Hank, n Saul got maybe 60 seconds of input. You can see at 46:26 that Odenkirk and Dean were done. Shoulda been 2 panels..(Vince, Aaron, n Cranston) then all the other characters.

RJ Mitte always has the BEST answers at these panels. I love that Vince Gilligan gave him a question or two like "I wanna hear from this handsome young man in the middle!" and RJ Mitte looks around not realizing he's literally the only handsome young man there. He understood this show on a level that I think the more I hear him speak is on a greater level than any of his co-workers and peers. He GETS it. Such a truly remarkable young professional actor. 1. At 13:31 Giancarlo signals to Betsy Brandt (Marie) that his Mic was off. 2. At 16:01 Giancarlo again complains that his mic is off and is again ignored. 3. At 27:53 Bill Burr seemed like he was asking an important question. Giancarlo responded taking the opportunity to have some talk time. But, he was rudely cut off by Bill Burr at 28:00 . Why? Something is off something is fishy..... Did Gus give a dirty look to someone at Comic Con's team? What happened? I know Bill Burr is a great guy and he is great comedian.... We have decided to watch the series again for the second time after rewatching Better call Saul also for a second time. That is true that the first 2 seasons are slower pace, we get to know the characters, Walter transforming himself and struggles with his wife, etc. Once you get to the 3rd season, things are becoming more intense. Our friends have never seen the series so they started to watch it and stopped at the end of season 1..... so you have to be patient and wait until season 3 before action begins. Overall, for me, one of the best series ever with BCS. Congrats to the whole team, writers, actors, people behind the scene, wow. Very good work
